    Kind staff, good activities, recommend

I don't see any highlights - could you paste them? If helpful, here's a short first-person example you can use or adapt: "I moved my mother in three months ago. Staff have been kind and attentive, activities are plentiful, and the dining is decent. Her room is clean but a bit small, and communication about care is usually prompt. Costs were higher than I expected, but overall I feel comfortable with her care and would recommend this place to others."

    About Cornerstone Village

Cornerstone Village is a non-profit senior living community that sits at 309 Princeton Road in Johnson City, Tennessee, and has served local seniors for over 50 years, and this place isn't just one building, since it actually spreads across two campuses and even branches out to nearby towns for folks in other areas, and much of it sits in busy, easy-to-reach parts of town, where neighbors and essentials are close by. They've got a wide range of care, so you'll find independent living, assisted living, nursing home care, home healthcare, memory care for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, skilled nursing, short-term respite and hospice care, and even adult daycare services for folks who need a place during the day. Residents get to pick different living layouts, from single rooms and studios to two-bedroom apartments and even something called The Villas and a big Tower with penthouse apartments.

Cornerstone Village tries to fit people's needs and budgets, especially those from working-class and middle-income backgrounds, so their all-inclusive pricing covers things like meals, housekeeping, laundry, utilities, and access to wellness programs and activities, which takes away a bit of money stress. Both private and shared rooms are available, and the place's licensed by the state and has the Joint Commission's Gold Seal, showing a long-standing commitment to quality and safety. Most of the staff speak English and are easy to talk to when you need anything, and they offer help with bathing, dressing, transfers, and make sure medicine's taken right, and they keep a modern emergency call system going 24/7, so there's peace of mind for residents and their families.

There's a strong sense of community here, with social events, movie nights, walking paths, a library, and group arts and crafts, and people can bring small pets along, since some apartments are pet friendly. Residents can visit on-site therapy rooms, a wellness center, beauty shop, and private dining areas, and if they want to relax, there are gardens and furnished common spaces for company or quiet. The meals are prepared on site-three a day-and the kitchen can handle special diets, like diabetic meals or allergy-sensitive dishes, and since they've got housekeeping, linen, and maintenance covered, most folks get to focus on enjoying retirement instead of worrying about chores.

Cornerstone Village accepts both Medicare and Medicaid, and if someone needs to move in quickly or just for a little while, there's respite care and help with settling in, and caregivers will guide families through the details. The care plans can adapt, so if someone needs more support as time goes on, they don't have to leave their home here, and there's a memory care unit with extra safety and programs, making it easier for residents with memory loss to remain comfortable and included. Housekeeping and maintenance are handled by the in-house team, and the transportation service helps with getting to appointments or shopping. People can choose from various floor plans and enjoy a safe, wheelchair-accessible environment, and if a resident's health changes, the skilled nursing team is right there on campus to help with recovery or long-term care.

They don't have flashy claims or pushy promises, but they do decades of steady, reliable work supporting seniors, and the routines, activities, amenities, and dedicated staff all work together to provide a good, comfortable spot for people aged 62 and up to make the most of their days, whether they're independent or need a little more help each year. The community welcomes people at all stages of aging and allows folks to stay connected while feeling safe and cared for.
