    Warm attentive care in home

I placed my mom in this small, intimate facility and felt reassured from day one - the owner and management were forthcoming and even visited my sister. The home-like dining area and satisfactory daily menu made meals pleasant. Her room is basic but safe and clean; it's not fancy and activities are limited, but the staff are loving, attentive, and truly family-like. You only pay for services used, so it's good value, and I'm grateful for the excellent care and lasting memories - a much better place for my mom to live.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing the personal, home-like quality of Grace House and the high standard of hands-on care provided. The facility is repeatedly described as small and intimate, which reviewers see as a strength because it supports individualized attention. Several comments specifically mention that the owner and management are forthcoming and personally involved — one reviewer noted the owner visited their sister — which reinforces a perception of attentive leadership and accountability.

Care quality and staff behavior are central themes. Reviewers consistently praise the staff as loving, caring, and creating a family-like environment. Multiple summaries state that residents receive great care and that placing a loved one at Grace House was a reassuring decision. Descriptors such as "lasting memories" and "better place for mom to live" indicate strong emotional and practical satisfaction with how residents are treated day-to-day.

Facilities and accommodations are described as adequate and safety-conscious but intentionally modest. Rooms are characterized as basic but equipped with necessary safety features; reviewers note the environment is not fancy but meets essential needs. This modesty appears consistent with the facility’s small-home model and contributes to the overall home-like atmosphere rather than a hotel-like presentation.

Dining receives positive, if measured, comments: the dining area is home-like and reviewers found the daily menu satisfactory. Food and mealtime environment are seen as contributing to the homely feel rather than being a luxury dining experience. The combination of a comfortable dining space and acceptable menus complements the overall impression of a nurturing, residential setting.

A notable concern across the summaries is limited activities. Reviewers explicitly cite fewer organized activities as a drawback; this suggests that while personal care and companionship from staff are strong, opportunities for structured engagement or varied programming may be constrained by the facility’s size or operating model. Prospective residents and families should weigh the intimate, family-like care model against the expectation for a broader activities calendar.

Value and cost structure are mentioned positively: several reviewers highlight that the facility represents good value because families pay only for the services actually used. This pay-for-used-services approach, together with the modest accommodations and hands-on management, positions Grace House as an economical choice for families seeking personalized care rather than extensive amenities.

In summary, reviews portray Grace House as a small, well-managed, and compassionate residential care option where staff warmth and owner involvement create a reassuring, family-oriented environment. The trade-offs are a basic physical setting and limited activity programming. For families prioritizing individualized attention, safety, and emotional comfort over luxury amenities and a wide range of activities, Grace House appears to be a very strong fit based on the available feedback.

    About Grace House

Grace House sits on Floyd Avenue in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and serves as a small Home for the Aged with six licensed beds, so you'll find a close-knit setting where staff can give personalized attention. Each resident gets a unique care plan, adjusted for their own needs, whether that's assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, or medication help from certified staff, and there's always someone on hand for 24-hour assistance. People with memory loss or dementia can stay in a calm, low-stimuli environment, and staff offer companionship and therapeutic activities to support memory, plus walking paths and gated grounds for safety, and a smart fall prevention system. Rooms come in studio, single, or two bedroom choices, and there are private and semi-private options for nursing home care too, so folks have some options for living arrangements.

Grace House amenities include wireless internet, cable TV, a salon, barbershop, resident laundry, housekeeping, private room choices, and a simple all-inclusive rent. Every day brings three meals, with fine meats and organic fruits and vegetables planned by a Registered Dietitian, plus snacks and drinks available anytime. There are hydrotherapeutic bathing options, massage therapy, gardening, a dining room, fitness center, social and recreational rooms, arts and crafts, and devotional activities. Residents can use transportation services for outings or appointments, and healthcare services like nursing, medication help, wound care, diabetic care, incontinence supplies, and podiatry, as well as occupational therapy and support with walking or wheelchair needs. They help arrange resources covered by Medicare and other insurance, like in-home primary care and skilled therapies, although they don't accept Medicare payments directly unless certified.

Staff keep the grounds safe, with emergency call pendants, wireless call systems, mobility aids, handicap accessible features, and a sprinkler system. Devotional, educational, and health programs happen on site, and there are options for memory care, respite care, hospice, and aging in place. Pets can visit for comfort, but permanent pet ownership isn't allowed. Family members can talk to Ms. Melissa Poling, who manages the facility and serves as the main point of contact, and Grace House stays focused on assisted living standards, but isn't accredited by the BBB. People can pay with private funds, social security, VA benefits, pensions, and long-term care insurance. The facility keeps a calm, home-like setting tucked among greenery, and aims to give both comfort and peace of mind with professional care management for anyone living there.
