    Warm attentive staff clean home-like

I placed my mom here and I couldn't be happier - the staff (Kelly and team) are warm, attentive and treat residents like family, going above and beyond. The home is clean, modern and very home-like, with nutritious, home-cooked meals in generous portions, personalized care, and a strong sense of community. I highly recommend it for safe, dignified, one-on-one care - just note activities can be limited at times and the busy street makes outings a bit trickier.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in these reviews is strongly positive, with many reviewers emphasizing a warm, family-like atmosphere and high-quality personal care. The facility is repeatedly described as home-like, clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with a smaller, more intimate population that enables more one-on-one attention. Multiple reviewers highlight that residents are treated like family, staff go "above and beyond," and there is a strong sense of community and personal attention. Specific praise is given to named staff and caregivers (expressions of gratitude such as toward "Kelly"), which reinforces the perception of individualized attention and consistent caregiver–resident relationships.

Care quality and staffing are frequent strengths in the feedback. Reviewers commonly note attentive, kind, and professional staff who provide assistance with activities of daily living, medication support, housekeeping, and laundry. Several reviews point out that the facility is capable of providing a higher level of care even if a resident does not yet require it, which can be reassuring for families planning ahead. The smaller size and local management are seen as positives that foster closer relationships between staff, residents, and families.

Dining is another standout feature in many reviews: home-cooked meals prepared on-site, described as nutritious, delicious, and served three times daily. Reviewers mention generous portions (especially for breakfast and lunch), customizable meal options, and snacks available between meals. At the same time, a few comments conflict with this dominant theme—one reviewer noted "limited food for patients" or inconsistent portioning for certain residents—so while the majority praise the dining, there is at least one report suggesting food availability may be an issue in specific cases.

Facilities and environment receive consistent positive remarks: the home is characterized as very clean, orderly, modern, and comfortable. Rooms are described as large and well-laid-out. The design and upkeep appear to support a dignified, safe living environment. Some reviewers mention that the property’s location on a busy street can make leaving the premises more difficult, which may affect outings or spontaneous trips away from the facility.

Activities and social life are generally viewed favorably: many reviews describe fun activities, birthday celebrations, outings, card games, volleyball, and opportunities for resident interaction that contribute to a joyful environment. However, there is at least one report that activities were limited (e.g., only bingo), indicating variation in program offerings or in reviewers’ expectations. Most reviewers felt the home facilitated meaningful social engagement, but prospective families should confirm the current activity calendar to ensure it matches their loved one’s interests.

Management and operational concerns are limited but notable. Several reviews include serious allegations from a minority of posters: one review claims staff mistreatment in the form of no sick time, no vacation, and no raises; another alleges discriminatory hiring practices and references religion. These are serious charges and are reported by individual reviewers rather than reiterated across many reviews, but they should prompt follow-up and verification by families or regulators before drawing conclusions. There are also isolated reports of resident belongings going missing and not being recovered, which raises questions about property management and accountability.

Other practical notes mentioned by reviewers: medication administration may carry an extra fee, which families should confirm; some reviewers appreciate the facility’s ability to provide higher levels of care if needed; and the smaller resident population is seen as both an advantage (more personalized care) and a logistical factor (fewer residents can mean fewer activities offered at times).

In summary, the dominant pattern across these reviews is highly positive: BeeHive Homes of Knoxville is repeatedly praised for its clean, home-like environment, caring and attentive staff, nutritious home-cooked meals, and strong sense of community. These strengths make it especially appealing for families seeking a smaller, intimate assisted living setting with personalized attention. At the same time, there are isolated but important concerns—allegations about staff treatment and hiring practices, occasional reports of missing belongings, a note about medication fees, and some variability in activity offerings—that prospective residents and families should investigate further by asking management for details, reviewing staffing policies, checking current activity schedules, and clarifying any additional fees. Overall, the reviews indicate a facility that delivers warm, dignified, and family-oriented care for most residents, with a few reports that warrant direct discussion with facility leadership for clarity and reassurance.

    About BeeHive Homes of Knoxville

BeeHive Homes of Knoxville sits in a peaceful area close to medical facilities and shopping, offering a smaller, family-style assisted living home with 16 suites, each with a private bathroom and ADA shower, and some rooms work well for couples. Staff keep things comfortable with daily housekeeping, laundry, and three meals a day, all made on site and approved by a dietitian, and snacks, too, so residents don't have to worry about cooking or cleaning. Residents can enjoy cable or satellite TV, their own phone line, beauty and barber services, fresh linens and towels, and a lounge to sit and visit, while 24-hour caregivers and an on-site nurse help with bathing, dressing, medication management, and other daily needs, though there's no nurse working weekends, so medication times might run a bit later then.

BeeHive Homes runs as a locally owned place, trying to make things feel home-like and friendly, with a high caregiver-to-resident ratio and a smaller building designed to help people know each other, making it easier for the staff to give care that fits each person, since every resident gets regular checkups to see what help they need. They offer a range of services for seniors, including assisted living, memory care for people with dementia or Alzheimer's, respite care for short stays after surgery or illness, and even adult day care, with both individual and group activities to keep folks socially and mentally active-things like fishing, quilting, crocheting, and outings, plus indoor groups and time outside on the patio with nice landscaping.

The staff run special Signature Service programs, providing ongoing monitoring and assistance, and try to create a place that feels safe and calm for people who may get confused or wander, with a focus on helping everyone keep their independence as much as possible. The building stays easy to get around, aiming to lessen stress, and regular activities plus devotional services help residents feel connected. BeeHive Homes gets recognized now and then for their activities and care, and they try to make every resident feel like part of a family, keeping their approach simple, personal, and friendly, so seniors can relax and live with the right amount of support to fit their needs.
