    Compassionate staff and beautiful facility

I moved my mom to Dominion and I couldn't be happier. The staff are compassionate, professional, and truly family-like - nurses, caregivers, dietary, housekeeping and office all go above and beyond. The building is beautiful, spotless and hotel-like with lovely rooms and gorgeous grounds; meals are delicious and there are plenty of engaging activities and outings. She's safe with 24/7 care, on a good medication/bathing plan, healthier and happier - I highly recommend this community.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive: families and residents repeatedly describe Dominion Senior Living of Sevierville as a clean, attractive, and well-managed community with compassionate staff and high-quality care. The facility’s physical environment is frequently characterized as hotel-like, modern, bright, and well maintained, with specific praise for cleanliness, pleasant décor, scenic surroundings, and amenities such as a beauty shop, exercise room, garden, and outdoor seating. Multiple reviewers emphasize that residents are kept safe and comfortable, noting secure entrance/exit systems and round-the-clock care.

Care quality and staffing emerge as central strengths. Reviewers consistently highlight the nursing and caregiver teams as attentive, professional, and caring; many families describe staff as going above and beyond, treating residents like family, and providing individualized attention. Several comments single out excellent rehab and therapy services, routine medical visits by doctors, medication administration, bathing assistance, and prompt, organized responses to incidents such as falls. The business, housekeeping, dietary, and maintenance teams are also mentioned positively, contributing to a service-oriented culture summed up by the facility motto. Many families appreciate that staff encourage family involvement and maintain clear, prompt communication and regular family updates.

Dining and programming are frequently praised as major assets. The dining experience is described in glowing terms—"five-star," delicious, and with fabulous menus—along with the convenience of three meals and two snacks daily. The activities calendar is robust and diverse: arts and crafts, bingo, chapel or church services, themed family nights, on-site entertainment, trips to local attractions and restaurants, therapy dog visits, and seasonal excursions. These programs are credited with keeping residents engaged, socially active, and happier than in previous placements. The community atmosphere—often described as family-like, faith-centered, and supportive—recurs throughout reviews and is highlighted as a key reason families feel their loved ones thrive there.

Two noteworthy financial and operational patterns appear in the reviews. Many families praise the all-inclusive pricing (meals, care, activities) and the lack of nickel-and-diming, while others comment that overall pricing is high compared with alternatives. A smaller set of reviews note insurance and billing challenges; a few reviewers mention difficulties working through insurance approvals, though they also report that staff tried to help. Management and organization are generally viewed positively—tour experiences are described as detailed and welcoming, and many families emphasize good coordination with external placement services.

Areas of concern are limited but important to note. Several reviewers mention that rooms can be somewhat smaller than at other communities, which may matter for residents bringing more furniture. Memory care integration is a mixed theme: some families appreciate that memory-care residents have access to the whole facility, while others express frustration that memory care is intermixed with assisted living, or that memory-care handling and staffing turnover have been problematic in isolated cases. A very small number of reviews raise serious, isolated concerns—examples include complaints about overmedication/sedation and a nurse demanding a resident’s removal; these appear to be exceptions rather than the norm but are significant enough that prospective families may want to ask direct questions about medication practices, staffing stability, and memory-care management during a tour.

In summary, the dominant picture painted by reviewers is of a high-quality senior living community with excellent staff, robust programming, attractive facilities, and strong overall resident satisfaction. The most common recommendations are for prospective families to tour the campus, ask about room sizes and memory-care arrangements, clarify pricing and insurance processes, and speak directly with staff about medication and staffing continuity to address the few isolated concerns. Given the frequency and consistency of positive comments—covering care, meals, activities, safety, and staff culture—Dominion Senior Living of Sevierville appears to be a highly regarded option for families seeking assisted living and memory-support services, particularly for those who value a faith-based, community-oriented environment with active engagement and comprehensive onsite services.

About Dominion Senior Living of Sevierville

Dominion Senior Living of Sevierville sits on a landscaped property with colorful dogwoods and hydrangeas, quiet courtyards, porches, and patios, all surrounded by peaceful views of the Smoky Mountains and a creek that runs along the grounds, which you can really appreciate when you're spending time outside or walking the paths they've put in both outdoors and indoors for residents to use, plus there's a fitness center and scheduled wellness programs for folks who want to stay active, and when you walk into the dining room you'll notice those rustic touches like the stone fireplace and wooden beams that give everything a welcoming country feeling, then out in the garden or from the patio you'll see the local flowers in bloom every year. Residents can take part in all sorts of structured social and recreational activities, including educational programs and entertainment meant to help folks make friends and stay mentally sharp, and the TV lounge, game room, raised gardening beds, or the fireplaces in the communal areas are all good spots for spending time together or relaxing on your own. Meals come with options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, low-sodium, and low-sugar diets and you can have guest meals, restaurant-style dining, or join in special dining programs if you'd like something a little different. For spiritual support, Dominion has weekly devotional services onsite and visits from a chaplain, which some people find important as part of their routine, and for folks who need medical or personal support, there's always a staff on duty, with specialized training for memory care and different therapies offered, from light therapy to reminiscence therapy, because some residents really benefit from having structure and familiar activities. Assisted living at Dominion helps with daily needs like bathing, dressing, and medicines, so folks can keep a good bit of independence, while memory care services are set up with secure spaces, tailored plans, and daily activities that aim to give comfort and purpose to seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia, making it feel safe so families don't need to worry about wandering or confusion. If someone needs just short-term recovery help after surgery or an illness, respite care is an option and can be daily, weekly, or monthly, to provide relief for caregivers and some extra help for seniors during that time. The entire staff under Executive Director Garrett Williams focuses on love, respect, and integrity, and they aim to honor God through service, working to build strong ties among residents, families, and the care team, with community life centering on comfort, security, and respect for each resident's needs. There are features for convenience and comfort like wheelchair-accessible showers, outdoor enclosures for safety, on-site hospice, aging in place services so people don't have to move if their needs change, and both free and cost-based transportation available when folks need to get out and about. Dominion Senior Living of Sevierville is open seven days a week, with full-time services available around the clock, and they offer tours for families who'd like to see what the community is like, so seniors can plan ahead knowing what's on offer for both their present needs and what might come down the line.
