    Compassionate, clean, safe, highly recommended

I've lived here five years and I couldn't be more satisfied. The loving, professional staff - including hands-on owners - are compassionate, patient, and go above and beyond. Move-in was seamless, the place is spotless and home-like (private rooms/baths, large living room), and meals and laundry are provided. It's a small, affordable community with heartfelt leadership and excellent end-of-life support. Not very active, but I feel safe, cared for, and I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Beehive Homes of Hurricane is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers praising the care, staff, and homelike environment. The facility is described as new, very clean, and free of unpleasant odors, with daily cleaning routines and a well-maintained interior. Physical features highlighted as strengths include private rooms and bathrooms, a large living room with comfortable recliner chairs, and an inviting, home-like atmosphere. Reviewers also emphasize affordability and quick, seamless move-in support.

Care quality and staff interaction are among the most consistently praised elements. Reviewers use words such as loving, respectful, professional, caring, supportive, and devoted to describe the staff. Several comments point to staff patience and compassion, with special note of heartfelt empathy and competent end-of-life support. Owner involvement and personal ownership are repeatedly cited, which reviewers associate with attentive management, professional service, and a sense of family or community leadership. These qualities contribute to high overall satisfaction, including multiple recommendations and at least one long-term resident report of being happy there for five years.

Dining and services receive favorable mentions: meals are provided and described as very good, and laundry service is available. Reviewers appreciate the combination of essential services and the facility’s smaller scale — specifically the 14-resident size — which many interpret as fostering individualized attention and a close-knit community feel. Several reviewers explicitly call the facility clean and beautiful and praise the staff for going above and beyond in caregiving.

Activity offerings show a notable inconsistency across reviews. Some reviewers report 'numerous activities,' while at least one review explicitly states the place is 'not very active.' This divergence suggests variability in either the frequency or relevance of programming depending on residents’ expectations or timing of the reviews. Prospective residents or families should ask for a current activity calendar and examples of participation to confirm that the social and recreational programming matches their needs.

Negative observations are limited and specific. One reviewer characterized the exterior or surrounding view as an 'eyesore' and lamented that it 'ruined view, shame,' indicating a localized aesthetic or site-related concern rather than an operational or care-related failing. The only other notable downside in the reviews is the mixed impression of activity level, which could be a function of small community size or differing resident preferences. No complaints about cleanliness, food quality, staff rudeness, safety, or basic services were reported in the provided summaries.

In summary, Beehive Homes of Hurricane presents as a small, new, and clean residential care environment with strong, compassionate staff and hands-on management. Strengths are concentrated in personalized care, staff demeanor and responsiveness, affordability, basic services (meals, laundry), and a cozy, home-like setting. The main items to verify in person are the current activity schedule and the exterior/view issue noted by one reviewer. Overall, the reviews indicate a high degree of resident and family satisfaction, with multiple endorsements and examples of staff providing exceptional and empathetic care.

    About Beehive Homes of Hurricane

Beehive Homes of Hurricane sits in a peaceful part of Hurricane, Utah, next to an elementary school, with two separate buildings that offer Level 1 and Level 2 care, and you'll find residents in a smaller, homelike community where private rooms have their own bathrooms with ADA showers and safety features like grab bars and accessible sinks. The home has a cozy feeling, with simple furniture like twin beds, recliners, and dressers, plus windows with blinds for privacy and sunlight, and there's daily housekeeping, laundry services, and cable TV or Wi-Fi included, making daily living comfortable and straightforward. Folks can spend time together in the residents' lounge, do crafts or puzzles in the activity rooms, join group outings with transportation, or just visit on the covered porch out front or the back patio looking out at the desert landscape, and the walking paths in the landscaped courtyard are nice for a stroll. Meals are home-cooked and dietitian-approved, served in a dining room with comfy chairs and cactus artwork, and snacks are offered throughout the day. There's a focus on individual needs, with 24-hour staff, medication assistance, and support for daily living, and the team pays careful attention to those with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia, making adjustments as a person's needs change over time. The home allows respite stays for folks needing short-term care, and family can visit often, with visiting hours set to keep things flexible. Residents often get to know each other well, and staff work hard to build a family-like feel where it's easy to settle in, feel valued, and join in activities, from fishing to quilting, or just spending time together in the warm and simple common rooms by the fireplace or TV. The community is medium-sized, with about 14 beds, and the whole place keeps an eye on privacy, safety, and the details that matter, like HIPAA compliance and easy access to help if someone needs it. Beehive Homes of Hurricane offers options for assisted living, adult day care, memory care, and respite care, with studio room layouts and a choice of spaces depending on care needs, and residents usually can remain through end of life barring any need for skilled nursing. This is part of the BeeHive Homes network, so it follows a care model found in other places across the country, with a strong focus on independence, activity, and community, and it's known in town for steady care and a simple, comfortable way of living for seniors who want both help and privacy in a familiar setting.
