Lovely facility, active community, flawed
I love the polished historic building, beautiful well-maintained facilities and friendly, helpful staff - the chef and dining (waiter service, two options, half portions) are outstanding. There are tons of activities (bingo, arts & crafts, dances, park outings, movie night), bus trips, dog-friendly policies and an upcoming outdoor deck, so it feels like a lively, affordable independent-living community. Biggest caveats: rooms are small with little closet space, availability is limited, and a sudden sale/forced move-out handled poorly left residents stressed and upset - that part was heartless.
