    Caring staff home-like highly recommended

I placed my mom here and couldn't be happier - the staff are truly caring, attentive, and welcoming, and GM Ashley is phenomenal. It's a smaller, home-like, bright facility (sun room, gazebo, garden, great room) in a nice residential area with greenery and summer BBQs. Teamwork is obvious: staff listen, implement suggestions, have low turnover, and provide prompt, professional nurse communication; hospice was handled smoothly and respectfully. Clean, family-focused, great food - pricing varies by level of care, but I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Longhouse Memory Care Household - Bothell is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize a home-like, clean environment with bright, comfortable living spaces that help residents feel at home. The smaller-household model and residential neighborhood setting are cited as key contributors to the facility’s welcoming, non-institutional atmosphere. Multiple reviewers noted visible improvements in their loved ones’ condition under the facility’s care and said residents were kept comfortable with explanations provided throughout the care process.

Care quality and staffing are central positive themes. Reviews consistently praise friendly, truly caring caregivers and highlight low staff turnover, which reviewers associate with stability and consistent relationships between residents and caregivers. Nursing communication is described as prompt and professional, and several comments single out the staff’s attentiveness — both in daily care and in sensitive situations such as end-of-life care. Hospice care management is specifically mentioned as being handled smoothly, which suggests good coordination with outside providers and compassionate support during difficult times.

Management and teamwork receive frequent commendation. The general manager (named Ashley in one review) is described as phenomenal, and reviewers note that staff feel supported and work collaboratively. Families appreciated the facility’s responsiveness and willingness to implement suggested changes, indicating an organizational culture that listens to family input and adapts practices when appropriate. The family-inclusive approach extends to visitation policies; families report feeling welcomed during visits and that visiting times are respected.

Facilities and activities are viewed positively. The physical layout includes a central great room with kitchen/dining areas plus additional common spaces like a sitting room and sun room, which reviewers identify as fostering social interaction and a homelike feel. Outdoor amenities such as a gazebo and garden, plus nearby greenery, are highlighted as pleasant features. Community events such as summer BBQs were mentioned specifically as enjoyable activities that contribute to a sense of community. Dining receives positive mention as well, with at least one reviewer noting that their family member loves the food.

Patterns across the reviews emphasize trust, continuity, and family reassurance: reviewers recommend the community, give kudos to management and staff, and describe feeling that their loved ones are in good hands. The most consistent strengths are staff quality (compassion, communication, stability), the smaller, residential model, and well-maintained, welcoming common areas.

The only potential concern directly referenced in the reviews is cost: pricing varies with the resident’s level of care, which implies that fees may increase as needs become greater. Reviewers did not raise other recurring negatives such as cleanliness, staff shortages, or programming gaps. If prospective families are sensitive to cost, they should ask for clear, tiered pricing details tied to care levels and possible additional charges so they can plan for changes in care needs.

In summary, Longhouse Memory Care Household - Bothell is portrayed by reviewers as a well-run, compassionate memory care option with strong leadership, stable and caring staff, family-oriented policies, attractive common and outdoor spaces, and a small-household design that promotes a homelike experience. The dominant impression is one of trust and satisfaction; the primary practical follow-up for prospective families is to clarify cost structures tied to varying care needs.

About Longhouse Memory Care Household - Bothell

Longhouse Memory Care Household - Bothell sits in a quiet neighborhood at 16605 122nd Place NE and holds space for 15 residents, which gives it a middle size between big hotel-style retirement places and the smaller Adult Family Homes some folks know, and it's part of a group run by Longhouse with support from Husky Senior Care. This place aims to make care personal with small "household" settings, so residents get a sense of home and staff can focus on what each person needs. Folks here get specialized memory care, whether they have Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, or Lou Gehrig's Disease, and trained caregivers are always around, including overnight awake staff, nurses, and helpers who use different languages and even the Validation method for behavioral needs. The community keeps a focus on safety with secure doors, emergency alert systems, and features that make it easier for folks who use wheelchairs or need extra support with walking. Rooms come furnished, with options for private or shared spaces, and the household has a sun porch, open kitchen, comfortable gathering spots, and lots of natural light. There's a garden, gazebo, and outdoor walking paths where residents can get fresh air without feeling locked in, which is important for folks who want to get outside safely.

Daily life here means staff take care of housekeeping, laundry, meals (including help with special diets like for diabetes or allergies), and help folks with bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom if needed. Medical help covers things like medication management, simple wound care, support for tube feeding, and nursing services when required. Residents can count on activity programs that bring people together, with music therapy, arts and crafts, social events, and even education and fitness options for folks who want to join in. The team encourages independence as much as possible, letting residents do things themselves with supervision and help as needed. There's transportation for those who need to get to appointments or outings, and respite care's available if families need a safe place for loved ones for short stays.

Family members get counseling and support, and staff make a point to keep loved ones in the loop, helping folks compare care options like assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing, so everyone can understand what's best. The team takes time to review costs, contracts, and care levels so there aren't any surprises, and they recommend talking with other residents and their families to get honest feedback before deciding. With both private and shared rooms, inviting social spaces, and a focus on daily life that keeps people active and comfortable, Longhouse Memory Care Household - Bothell stands as a steady, straightforward choice for folks needing memory care in a smaller but lively setting, with enough staff and support to help residents stay engaged, comfortable, and safe, and to help them stay put if health needs change later in life.
