    Loving accessible care, clean facility

I'm very satisfied with the care my mom receives - loving, accessible caregivers who communicate clearly and adjust care as her needs change. The bright, clean facility has good food, activities she enjoys (or TV), easy visiting and hospice when needed; I'm grateful and would recommend it to family and friends.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Peace and Comfort Senior Care / Ventilator Specialty Home is generally portrayed as a small, well-kept residential facility with an emphasis on personalized, compassionate care. Families and residents commonly describe staff as kind, attentive, and accessible; several accounts specifically praise the facility’s approach to changing needs and its capacity to provide hospice and end-of-life support. The facility’s location, bright interiors, and orderly grounds are consistently noted as strengths that support regular visiting and a comfortable environment.

Care and staff: Reviews emphasize a caregiving team that is both compassionate and engaged. Staff are described as proactive in family communication and willing to tailor care and diet to individual needs. Caregiving is often characterized as hands-on and relationship-oriented, with multiple families noting that loved ones acclimated socially and seemed emotionally comfortable. The availability of hospice services and reports of compassionate end-of-life care are also prominent in the accounts provided.

Dining and activities: Dining is another area of positive commentary. Residents reportedly enjoy the food, with a varied menu and the ability to meet special-diet requirements. Social programming and activities are available and appear to be offered in an inclusive way; some residents participate actively while others prefer quieter pastimes. The combination of meal variety and accessible activities supports social adjustment for new residents.

Facilities and management: The physical environment is described as clean, bright, and well-organized. Rooms and common areas receive favorable remarks, and the facility is considered easy to visit and tour, which families value. Management is viewed as accommodating around admissions and in-person visits, and there is a perception of good value relative to higher-cost nursing alternatives.

Notable patterns and operational considerations: The most consistent operational concern is staffing level variability. Reviewers indicate periods of understaffing that can affect responsiveness and the staff’s capacity to attend to all needs with the same pace. Privacy is another practical consideration: some accommodations include shared-bathroom arrangements, which may not suit residents who require or prefer private facilities. Finally, while overall cost is seen as competitive, a few accounts reflect uncertainty about short-stay pricing and cost transparency during transitions. Prospective residents and families should confirm bathroom arrangements and obtain clear, written pricing for short-term and transition stays.

Bottom line: The facility appears well-suited for families seeking compassionate, relationship-focused care in a clean, community-oriented setting with hospice capability and flexible dietary support. Prospective residents who prioritize private bathing facilities or who require consistently high caregiver-to-resident ratios should verify those specifics during a tour and in the contract.

About Peace and Comfort Senior Care

Peace and Comfort Senior Care/ Ventilator Speciality Home sits in Bothell, WA, offering a light, bright, and clean place for seniors with complicated health needs, especially those who need ventilator support or long-term respiratory care, and you'll find only six beds here, which keeps the setting small and more like a family home. The Adult Family Home is licensed by the state, registered with DSHS, and managed by a Registered Nurse who lives on site, so residents get attentive help any time of day from well-trained caregivers. The staff use specialized equipment and care routines for people living with ventilators, as well as for folks facing dementia, developmental disabilities, or mental health conditions, always aiming for safety and comfort. Seniors find 24-hour supervision, home-cooked meals, and the personal attention that comes from caregivers knowing everyone's name and needs, and the focus stays on keeping residents comfortable for the long term, usually at a lower cost than bigger nursing homes. The home makes individual care plans for each person and includes companions, memory care for people with cognitive issues, and support for both physical and emotional challenges, and families can visit daily between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm. Peace and Comfort Senior Care/ Ventilator Speciality Home doesn't accept Medicare unless certified by CMS, but does give peace of mind to families who need specific ventilator management and careful, engaging support for their loved ones.
