    Warm, clean, attentive home-like care

I'm very satisfied with this adult family home-Ruby and her staff are warm, attentive, and professional, the house is immaculately clean and bright, meals are fresh and nutritious, and residents stay active with thoughtful daily activities. Communication is prompt, hospice and 24/7 care were handled compassionately, and overall it's a loving, home-like place I'd recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Sunrise Senior Care Adult Family Home is consistently described by families as a small, owner-operated adult family home with a strong emphasis on personalized, family-style caregiving. Reviewers highlight the owner’s active involvement in daily care and frequent examples of staff going beyond routine duties. Care quality is characterized as attentive and compassionate; staff are described as well trained and quick to recognize and communicate health changes. The facility also receives positive mention for executing hospice and end-of-life plans with coordination and sensitivity.

Dining and daily living are repeatedly presented as strengths. Meals are described as home-cooked, fresh, and nutritious, with three daily meals and social tea times. Residents benefit from an active schedule that includes regular activities and exercise during the week, as well as special events and holiday observances that contribute to a home-like atmosphere. Reviewers also cite language-translation support and 24/7 availability as useful practical features for families.

The physical environment is consistently noted for cleanliness and pleasant presentation. Descriptions emphasize an immaculately kept, bright, and well-decorated interior and an attractive, welcoming exterior. Infection-prevention practices such as COVID-19 safety measures are mentioned, and families frequently report feeling reassured by the facility’s sanitation standards and the warm, second-home feel during visits.

Management and communication receive favorable comment: families cite prompt, transparent updates and coordination with outside providers and relatives, which contributes to a sense of trust and peace of mind. At the same time, reviewers point to operational limits that reflect the facility’s small size. A recurring practical constraint is limited Medicaid bed availability—reviewers referenced a policy change leaving only one Medicaid room—and more generally the constrained capacity typical of an adult family home. This can affect admission options and perceived affordability for some families.

Overall, Sunrise Senior Care Adult Family Home presents as a well-managed, small-scale option for families seeking a clean, home-like setting with attentive staff, strong family communication, and robust daily programming. Prospective residents and their families should balance the facility’s high marks for individualized care and environment against its limited capacity and the potential for higher out-of-pocket cost or restricted Medicaid placement.

About Sunrise Senior Care Adult Family Home

Sunrise Senior Care Adult Family Home sits on 826 226th St SE in Bothell, WA, and stays open 24 hours a day, every day, even though business hours run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, and visitors can come by from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The staff let folks smoke and keep pets, and they accept both men and women. This adult family home deals with many medical needs, like wound care, trach tube care, oxygen support, dialysis, feeding tube help, and ostomy care, and services also include things like stroke care, Parkinson's disease care, diabetes management, and support for those living with COPD or Congestive Heart Failure. The staff helps people who are bedridden, need catheter or colostomy care, have mental health needs, or require behavioral support, and they manage special diets for those who need it. The home helps with medication, blood draws, insulin injections, UTI tests, vital sign checks, and incontinence care, and they can use a Hoyer lift for residents who need help moving, plus they're set up to assist folks dealing with Alzheimer's, dementia, vision or hearing loss, and developmental disabilities.

The care team prepares meals, handles laundry, cleans, and offers help with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting, and you'll find a spacious, nicely decorated space that feels clean, safe, and home-like, with chef-prepared meals, a roomy dining area, good outdoor spots to sit, and safety features like handicap access and sprinklers. There are activity rooms, arts and crafts, fitness areas, a salon/barbershop, internet, games, and social and education programs to help everyone keep busy and connected, so family and friends say the staff is caring and keeps them in the loop about how their loved ones are doing. Many people comment on the hardworking, friendly, and joyful staff, who have won awards for going above and beyond for the residents, and the home welcomes folks needing everything from assisted living and memory care to short-term respite and hospice support, so folks can age in place as their needs change.

They've earned high ratings from families-some reviews mention a 4.8-star average and others a 4.1 rating, but either way, people talk about the compassionate, reliable team and the clean, well-lit spaces. Residents get help with not just daily routines but also things like podiatry, regular nursing, physical or occupational therapy, mental health support, range of motion, feeding, special diets, and help with walkers or wheelchairs. The place serves seniors from Bothell, Lynnwood, and the larger area, and nearby adult family homes are available if more specific care is needed. Staff have plenty of experience and training in this field, and they make detailed care plans to fit each person, whether memory needs, mental health, or developmental disabilities, including Alzheimer's and other kinds of dementia. There's transportation for doctor visits, plus kitchens or kitchenettes, laundry, guest parking, and all the basics for daily living. Sunrise Senior Care Adult Family Home works hard to offer a steady and comfortable home, and they focus on helping both residents and families feel safe and supported.
