    Outstanding staff, clean, inviting community

I moved into Evergreen Estates' independent living and have been very happy - the staff are outstanding and caring, the facility is clean, safe, and inviting, and I made friends quickly. My apartment is roomy and walker-friendly with a full kitchen and large bath; meals are restaurant-style (lunch is spectacular, evenings can vary). There are plenty of activities, ground-floor access, and good value - I recommend it, though availability can be limited.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews for Evergreen Estates is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly highlight the friendly, caring nature of the staff and an inviting community atmosphere. Cleanliness and upkeep are emphasized—both the facility and individual apartments are described as clean and well-maintained. Many reviews point to recent remodeling and newer sections of the building, suggesting the property has been updated and offers multiple apartment styles to suit different preferences.

Facilities and apartments receive consistently favorable comments. Residents appreciate the spacious rooms, large bathrooms, and practical features such as ample kitchens with full refrigerators. Accessibility is a clear strength: walker-friendly rooms and ground-floor access were specifically mentioned, and hospital parking nearby is a convenient plus. Safety and security are noted positively, and several reviewers stated that they made friends and felt comfortable in the community, indicating a strong social environment.

Dining is a major positive theme. The community offers restaurant-style meals and multiple reviewers called the meals outstanding. Lunch in particular receives high praise, described in one review as "spectacular." That said, there is a recurring, more minor concern about occasional inconsistency with evening meals—most reviewers praised dining overall, but a few noted the quality of dinner can sometimes fall short of expectations.

Activity programming and community life are another strength. Reviews list a variety of engaging activities including Jeopardy, Wii games, music events, and bingo. These offerings support an active, social lifestyle for independent residents and contribute to the sense of an inviting environment. Several reviewers are independent couples or residents not yet requiring assisted living, which aligns with the facility’s apparent emphasis on independent living living options.

Management and move-in experience are highlighted favorably: reviewers mention a smooth move-in process and staff who are helpful and caring. Value for money is a repeated point—many reviewers called Evergreen Estates a good value and said they would recommend it. The overall tone is of a well-run independent living community with attentive staff and good amenities.

Notable patterns and concerns: availability is the main operational limitation mentioned—some reviewers encountered "no room available" or had to pause their search because nothing was open. A few reviews also indicate Evergreen Estates may not be the right fit for every need; specifically, the facility appears focused on independent living, and those requiring higher levels of assisted care may find it unsuitable. Finally, while dining is generally a strong selling point, the occasional inconsistency with evening meal quality is the single recurring negative about day-to-day services.

In sum, Evergreen Estates is consistently described as a clean, safe, and sociable independent living community with remodeled spaces, strong dining (especially lunch), varied activities, and compassionate staff. Prospective residents seeking independent living who value accessibility, social programming, and good value are likely to find it attractive; those requiring immediate move-in may face availability constraints, and individuals needing more intensive assisted care should verify service levels before choosing the community.

    About Evergreen Estates

Evergreen Estates is an assisted living community in Lewis-Clark Valley on the Tri-State Memorial Hospital & Medical Campus where folks can get personalized care plans based on a free nursing assessment, and those plans can get updated every two weeks if needs change, which means there's help with things like medication, nutrition, dressing, and bathing as part of the basic rent, and there's always someone around for assistance day or night. Residents need to be under the care of a local licensed doctor, and the staff works with the resident or their representative to review and sign the care plans, so everyone stays on the same page, and the place has 55 licensed beds with some occupancy set aside for Medicaid. The facility offers both independent and assisted living, plus respite care if families need a temporary break, and the environment is focused on seniors, so people can join in activities, social events, or outings on a scheduled bus, or try workshops in the multipurpose room with sliding glass doors or in the Clearwater Conference Room, with things like gardening talks from registered dietitians that happen now and then. The nurses manage medications, the grounds are landscaped nicely, and meals are nutritious with special diets if needed, and people can enjoy a smoke-free atmosphere-inside and outside, since tobacco isn't allowed at all-but while residents can't have pets in their apartments, visitors can bring a pet if they clean up and keep control. There's an eight-step admission process that asks for paperwork and assessments, with an administrative fee that gets refunded if someone can't move in, and there's also a 25% discount for the first two months once you move in, which can be helpful for families budgeting the change, and guided tours are available for people who want to see the place before making any decisions. With the emergency department open all day and night and the TriState Health mental health clinic onsite offering different hours, people have access to health support, and the facility aims to help everyone feel like they belong while staying as independent as they can, with comfort and safety a priority in the setup and services, so it's a practical option for seniors in the area looking for a supportive place to call home, even if the browser doesn't run Facebook, although Evergreen Estates does have a page there.
