    Clean welcoming home, compassionate staff

I couldn't be happier with this clean, welcoming home - my mother is loved, safe, and genuinely well cared for. Owner Nats and the professional, compassionate staff (with on-site medical and hospice support) are attentive, detail-oriented, and feel like family, so we have real peace of mind. The scratch-made food has her eating better and stronger - unsurpassed care; I highly recommend.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The review summaries portray Freedom Adult Family Home as an exemplary small residential care setting with consistently positive feedback. Across multiple summaries, reviewers emphasize trust, satisfaction, and strong outcomes for residents; there are no negative comments included in the provided summaries. The dominant themes are high-quality clinical oversight combined with a warm, family-like atmosphere, which appears to deliver both medical reliability and emotional comfort to residents and families.

Care quality and medical support: Reviewers repeatedly note that medical oversight is a strength of the home. The presence of medical staff on-site and regular nurse and doctor visits is explicitly mentioned, suggesting reliable clinical monitoring and responsiveness to health needs. Several reviews highlight measurable improvements in residents' health—examples given include better eating habits, increased strength, and improved blood sugar control—indicating that care plans and daily supervision translate into tangible benefits. The home’s acceptance of hospice and multiple notes praising hospice care indicate capability and experience managing end-of-life needs with compassion.

Staff and management: The owner, identified by name (Nats), is described as skilled, detail-oriented, and professional. Reviewers consistently praise the staff as caring, compassionate, and attentive; descriptions like "like family," "warmth," "comfort," and "humor" recur, pointing to a workforce that combines clinical competence with personal connection. Multiple summaries call out the staff as both professional and family-like, which signals that employees are perceived as respectful of rules and procedures while also providing emotional support. This combination contributes to families’ "peace of mind" and strong personal recommendations.

Facility and environment: The facility itself is described as clean, welcoming, and home-like. Words such as "clean facility," "welcoming," and "nice people" appear across the summaries, reinforcing impressions of a well-maintained and hospitable environment. The small-home setting implied by phrases like "home" and "family-like" suggests personalized attention and a comfortable atmosphere for residents.

Dining and daily life: Meals receive specific positive mention: food is made from scratch and reviewers link the dining experience to improved resident wellbeing (eating better, getting stronger). The combination of good homemade food and attentive caregiving is portrayed as supporting both physical health and quality of life.

Notable patterns and absence of concerns: The reviews show strong consistency in praise across multiple dimensions—leadership, staffing, medical care, hospice support, cleanliness, and dining. Notably, none of the provided summaries raise complaints or areas of concern, which itself is a finding: within this dataset there are no reported negatives. While this consistency is a positive signal, prospective families may still want to verify additional practical details not covered by these summaries, such as costs, availability of structured activities beyond conversation/humor, transportation/appointments logistics, staff-to-resident ratios at different times of day, licensing and inspection history, and how the home handles specific clinical conditions beyond the general references to medical staff and hospice.

Conclusion: Based on the supplied summaries, Freedom Adult Family Home appears to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and medically competent care in a clean, home-like environment. The owner and staff are highlighted as major strengths, and reviewers credit the home with real improvements in residents’ health and overall wellbeing. No negative feedback is present in these summaries, but families should complement this overwhelmingly positive picture with standard due diligence (visits, questions about cost and services, verification of medical oversight and licensing) to ensure the facility meets any specific needs.

About #1 Freedom Adult Family Home

#1 Freedom Adult Family Home sits near the corner of 4th Pl S and S 214th St in Des Moines, Washington, and provides assisted living and board and care for seniors and retired residents who need help in a family-style home setting with only six licensed beds, making it far more personal and easy to get to know everybody, and right now it has vacancies and is ready to accept new folks, which matters when a safe place is needed without a long wait. The staff is there 24 hours a day and they're trained to handle all sorts of needs, whether that's regular daily support with meals, bathing, and medication, or something much harder like wound care, hospice, feeding tubes, diabetes, dialysis, or behavioral support for people with Alzheimer's, dementia, mental health needs, or developmental disabilities, so nobody has to worry about getting the attention they need, since every room and every care plan is tailored for each individual, so prices start at a minimum for basic care and then change depending on what someone actually needs, which is settled before anything starts. The home has private rooms for memory care, mental health, DDA, and hospice, and folks living there get daily meals prepared for nutrition and taste, with special diets respected, and there's Wi-Fi, high-speed internet, and handicap accessibility, making it pretty easy and comfortable to stay in touch with people and move about safely inside the house. The team looks after everything from catheter, colostomy, ostomy, and incontinence care to regular blood draws, UTI checks, oxygen care, stroke recovery, trach tubes, hearing and vision issues, and range of motion exercise for those who need it, so this is the sort of place where someone whose health has become complicated can settle in without losing a sense of home. There's always a comfort in knowing each person's story matters to the staff, who pay attention to personalities, habits, and priorities, making sure care fits the individual, and they do their best to foster family connections and friendships. Respite stays are welcome for folks who need short-term care, and visiting hours run daily from 9:00am to 8:00pm, making it easy for loved ones to drop by. The place is licensed, keeps clear to current standards, and doesn't take Medicare unless a special certification is in place, which is worth knowing right from the beginning, and it's usually more affordable than most nursing homes, especially for long-term care. You'll find memory support is strong here, with activities and programs made for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, and every effort goes into making sure residents feel accepted, included, safe, and cared for, a simple and warm approach that's a comfort to many families and to the seniors themselves.
