I highly recommend this family-like, caring facility.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries for Sea View Adult Family Home is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing high-quality, personalized care delivered in a family-like environment. The most frequently cited strengths are the individualized attention residents receive and the warm, homey atmosphere created by patient and gracious staff. Reviewers specifically noted that caregivers are attentive, generous, and willing to go above and beyond, which contributes to a comfortable and reassuring setting for residents and their families.

Care quality is a standout theme. Reviews repeatedly highlight ‘‘exceptional care,’’ reliable medication management, and staff responsiveness to specific needs (one example being provision of sugar-free syrup), indicating that staff are attentive to both clinical and personal preferences. Several summaries reference diligent and proactive caregiving, suggesting consistency in day-to-day routines and clinical oversight. The combination of hands-on caregiving and personalized accommodations supports the impression that residents receive tailored support rather than generic institutional care.

Safety and infection control during the pandemic are emphasized as clear positives. Multiple summaries note proactive pandemic precautions and explicitly state that there were no COVID cases, which signals effective infection-prevention practices and management attention to resident safety. This pattern of safety-conscious behavior is reinforced by mentions of proactive communication from owners and management during the pandemic period.

Management and communication also emerge as important strengths. Reviewers appreciated upfront communication regarding accommodations and pricing, as well as the availability of a meet-and-greet to discuss needs and costs before placement. Owners are described as responsive and proactive in their outreach, which builds trust with families. This transparency about pricing and the pre-admission meeting process is noted as part of a generally positive, well-organized intake and ongoing communication practice.

Facilities, dining, and activities receive positive but somewhat less detailed mentions. Summaries indicate that facilities ‘‘meet expectations,’’ meals are good, and there are activities and amenities that reviewers found satisfactory. The environment is described as comfortable, and the combination of friendly staff and enjoyable meals contributes to an overall sense that residents are well cared for socially and physically. However, while activities and amenities are mentioned positively, there are fewer specifics about the variety or frequency of programming compared with the rich detail on caregiving and communication.

Notable patterns and minor caveats: there are virtually no consistent negative comments in the set of summaries—most comments are strongly favorable and some explicitly state they would highly recommend the home. A few remarks were neutral in tone (for example, one reviewer saying it was ‘‘ok there’’), and price was discussed in multiple summaries, suggesting cost may be a factor families should evaluate during the meet-and-greet. Because the reviews are uniformly positive about staff, care, and pandemic safety, prospective families should still confirm current programming details (activity schedules, staffing ratios) and pricing during their tour to ensure the fit matches expectations.

In sum, Sea View Adult Family Home is portrayed as a small, attentive residence with compassionate staff, strong personalized care, effective medication oversight, and a management team that communicates openly and acts responsively. Pandemic precautions and a lack of reported COVID cases further underscore their attention to resident safety. For families prioritizing individualized attention and a family-like environment, the reviews indicate Sea View is a reliable and well-regarded option, while those concerned about cost or wanting extensive activity programming should use the meet-and-greet to clarify those specifics.

About Sea View Adult family home

Sea View Adult Family Home sits in Edmonds, Washington, a quiet residential spot that's close to parks, stores, churches, and medical offices, giving families some peace of mind because everything's nearby and easy to get to, which always helps when someone needs extra care or a quick trip out. The place is set up like a regular house, not a big facility, with six roomy bedrooms and both indoor and outdoor spaces where residents can relax or mingle, and there's a simple family-style dining room that makes meal times feel homey, along with a library, cable TV, internet, and a nice garden where folks can spend time outside when the weather's good. This home holds a Washington State license, number 753045, meets local rules, and gets regular checks by agencies such as the Department of Aging, but it doesn't take Medicare as payment, so folks usually pay out of pocket or another way.

Here, the main focus falls on daily support and personal care, delivered by friendly, trained staff who are there around the clock, so help is always on hand for bathing, getting dressed, medication, and other daily needs, and it works for both men and women. Sea View stands out because it lets residents bring their pets, and smoking's allowed, giving a bit of extra freedom that's not always found elsewhere. Each person gets attention for their specific needs; the staff help with Alzheimer's and dementia support, wound care, diabetes, catheter care, regular blood work and UTI checks, oxygen, feeding tubes, trach tubes, behavioral support, hospice, and even use equipment like a Hoyer lift for easier transfers, as well as being able to handle issues like COPD, Parkinson's, heart failure, strokes, depression, and more. There's a visiting nurse, specialist therapists stop by to help with rehab or fitness, and a doctor's on-call for medical needs, so even folks with higher care needs can live here safely.

The kitchen staff prepares well-balanced meals that fit different dietary needs and pay attention to good taste, and folks get to eat together, which helps everyone feel like part of a bigger family, while scheduled activities, both on-site and out in the community, give structure to the week and keep folks active and engaged, sometimes with outings or devotional services if that's important. Visitors can come between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., and the home's small size means people get more one-on-one care, so staff can catch on quickly when something's changed, and that helps keep everyone safe and comfortable, day or night. The whole place is built to feel like a second home, with an emphasis on comfort, safety, and helping residents keep as much independence as possible, with regular checks and oversight to keep care standards high. From memory care and skilled nursing to regular home health and even adult day services, Sea View Adult Family Home aims to help seniors live with fewer worries in a friendly, welcoming setting, and that seems to give families some relief, especially at the end of life or during hard times.
