    About Sun Village Senior Care

Sun Village Senior Care sits in Kirkland, WA, and has a focus on providing hands-on, attentive care for seniors in a private, family-style setting. The owners, Lorraine and Dorel, have over 15 years in elderly care, and the staff includes a live-in Registered Nurse and certified home care aides who support residents 24 hours a day, giving help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, walking, and medication management. This adult family home has space for up to six seniors at a time, so the care tends to be more personal than bigger places, with a better staff-to-resident ratio. The staff supports people living with dementia, stroke, Parkinson's, mental health or developmental issues, and other complex needs, and they're ready for specialized nursing care like wound care, diabetic insulin shots, intravenous support, and feeding tube management.

Residents can pick a private room with cable TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and safety features like wide hallways, emergency call systems, and accessible bathrooms. Housekeeping and laundry services come included, so residents don't have to worry about chores. The kitchen offers both home-cooked and kosher meals, and there are options to meet specific dietary needs. The layout's simple to get around with wheelchair and walker-friendly spaces, roll-in showers, and help with mobility when needed.

Sun Village Senior Care has a calendar full of activities like daily exercise, cards, bingo, painting, crafts, and regular live music or movie nights. Residents can join in on outings, gardening, pet therapy, spiritual and religious support, and group story times. Therapies like music and art, physical, occupational, and speech therapy are available through home health or on-site visits for those who need extra support. Health and medical care services also include dental, podiatry, and vision visits, medication support, and wound care by a dedicated team. There's always medical equipment like wheelchairs, lift devices, and hospital beds close at hand.

The grounds are landscaped with gardens, patios, and walking trails for fresh air, and there are common rooms for dining, games, movies, and social times. The facility has a structured, safe layout, sprinkler systems for fire safety, and smart remotes for TV and call systems. Sun Village Senior Care provides care on a small scale but covers a full range of needs-assisted living, memory care for Alzheimer's or dementia, skilled nursing, hospice, stroke and cardiac aftercare, help with mental health, and short-term respite stays. Visiting hours run from 9:00am to 8:00pm. The staff puts an emphasis on kindness, patience, and professionalism, making sure every resident gets a detailed care plan and sees their needs met, whether they need independent living support, board and care, or nursing home-level services. There's always someone on hand, so families can find out about move-in steps, care options, insurance, costs, or waiting lists. It stays a simple, home-like place, sticking to the basics of good care, clear routines, and a calm, welcoming environment.
