    Caring staff but medical concerns

I'm grateful for the spotless facility and warm, incredibly attentive owners and staff-care (including hospice) has been top-notch with clear updates on my mom. Meals are tasty and on time but mostly heat-and-eat/prepackaged with limited fresh vegetables and fruit, and there are almost no activities or communal dining, which risks isolation. The building feels dated and expensive, and I have concerns about medical oversight (no MD on staff, abrupt med changes, spotty communication, some unnecessary imaging); I recommend it only for the exceptional, caring staff.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is mixed but centers on two clear and consistent themes: exceptional, compassionate hands-on care and cleanliness contrasted with shortcomings in facility condition, medical oversight, dining variety, and social programming. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize that the staff — including owners, nurses, and aides — are warm, kind, attentive, and respectful. Multiple comments describe care quality as top-notch, mention helpful communication about visits and status updates, and express particular praise for hospice staff. Cleanliness is another repeatedly cited strength; reviewers describe the facility as spotless with pleasant smells.

Care quality and staffing receive strong positive comments. Families report that staff are gentle, accommodating, and communicative, providing timely updates on who visited and the resident's condition. Several reviewers explicitly say they would recommend the facility and express gratitude for the care provided. The presence of friendly, involved owners and staff contributes to a sense of personal attention and responsiveness that many families value. Organic food and healthy snack options were noted by some as additional positives tied to resident nutrition.

However, multiple reviewers raise clinically significant concerns about medical oversight and medication handling. There is no MD on staff, and some family members worry about adequacy of medical attention. Reports of abrupt medication changes and poor communication around medication decisions appear in the summaries. One review specifically mentions an unnecessary X-ray, which contributes to a perception that medical decision-making and communication can be problematic. These comments suggest a need for clearer protocols, physician access, and transparent communication when clinical changes occur.

Facility and environmental issues are a prominent negative theme despite excellent cleanliness. The interior is described as aged and run-down, and some rooms were reported as inadequately warm or comfortable. While the facility is kept very clean, the dated appearance and temperature/comfort concerns detract from residents' overall living experience. Language barriers with some staff members are noted occasionally, which can complicate communication despite otherwise good updates from staff.

Dining and social life show a contrast between execution and opportunity. Meals are generally served on time and many reviewers found them tasty; snacks and fresh fruit are available and sometimes described as healthy. Nevertheless, there is a recurring complaint that food is largely heat-and-eat or prepackaged with limited fresh vegetables and a constrained fresh fruit selection. Meals are commonly served in residents' rooms rather than in a communal dining area, and there are few or no planned activities. Reviewers explicitly cite a risk of isolation and depression because of limited social dining and an absence of organized programming.

Cost and perceived value also appear as concerns. Several reviewers describe the facility as expensive, suggesting that the price does not fully match expectations around facility condition, activity programming, and meal quality. At the same time, families often feel the direct caregiving is worth the cost due to the staff's compassion and attentiveness.

In summary, Absolute Senior Care LLC is consistently lauded for its caring, respectful staff and impeccable cleanliness, and many families feel their loved ones receive compassionate, high-quality hands-on care. Key areas for improvement that emerge across reviews are: enhancing clinical oversight or access to on-site medical leadership, improving medication-change communication and clinical decision transparency, upgrading or refreshing the facility environment and room comfort, increasing fresh food options and moving toward more cooked or fresh meals, expanding social programming and communal dining to reduce isolation, and addressing language barrier issues. Addressing these areas could significantly improve perceived value and resident quality of life while preserving the clear strengths in staff performance and cleanliness.

The environment stays clean and peaceful, and the kitchen serves food many describe as coming from grandma's kitchen, while special diets, such as kosher meals, are available if needed. There are activity rooms, a small home theater, a garden with outdoor spaces, and a patio, so residents can enjoy private or shared time, and there's always something to do-bingo, gardening, puzzles, painting, story time, bocce ball, bowling, tea, birthday parties, and holiday celebrations can be expected, with more activities like music, aromatherapy, or church visits and even visits from an activity director during the week.

Safety is a big focus, since the property has home security features, alarms, and secure fencing for anyone who might try to wander, and medication dispensers, medical alert systems, and regular safety check-ins happen every day; reviews suggest families feel peace of mind knowing residents can get help day or night. A nurse is on call 24/7, staff keep a 1:2 caregiver-to-resident ratio, and care plans are built for each person, so support includes everything from help with bathing, dressing, laundry, and housekeeping to managing medications. The home supports stroke and CVA patients, people who are bed-bound, needing catheter care, incontinence help, trach tube care, and care for Alzheimer's, dementia, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and even wound care or rehabilitation after surgery or illness; there's also help for folks with mental health or developmental disabilities, visual or hearing problems, and hospice for end-of-life comfort.

Physical, occupational, and speech therapy come through home health visits, and a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or doctor stops in during the week, while pharmacy and medication delivery, blood draws, blood glucose checks, INR tests, and UTI testing are available as needed, with electronic charting that families can access if power of attorney allows. Residents can use a Hoyer lift for transfers, get manicure and hair services on site, and even receive podiatry and diabetic educator visits. Transportation help for appointments comes with the service, meaning families don't have to worry about driving loved ones everywhere. For those in need of respite or adult day care-just temporary stays or day services-Absolute Senior Care can help there, too, and the environment stays accessible for wheelchairs and walkers.

The home's amenities round out with complimentary guest Wi-Fi, Xfinity cable with DVRs and smart remotes, private dining options, and access to a small library; staff speak honestly about pricing, with a minimal base price for folks who need little care, and final costs set case by case so everyone knows what to expect. The facility's reviews-mostly verified-give the home an average of 4.5 stars, describing the setting as joyful, the staff as friendly and helpful, and the support as thorough. Absolute Senior Care LLC is licensed under #755598 and is regularly checked by the Department of Aging or Veteran's Services; it doesn't bill Medicare unless certified, but does help residents with many kinds of health challenges, including those needing total care. Families may request an in-person tour or a phone call to learn more, and the facility is ready and vacant for new residents anytime. This home supports seniors and brings families peace of mind when choosing the best spot for a loved one who needs care in a small, home-like setting.
