    Compassionate, organized care and peace

I placed my mom here and am so grateful - the caregivers (especially Mary, Saida and Faro) were compassionate, experienced and organized. Communication and medication management were excellent, they coordinated well with medical providers, and kept our family informed. Meals felt like home, the staff were welcoming and kind, activities kept residents engaged, and the home-like setting with a Green Lake Park view and deck made her final days peaceful.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing high-quality, compassionate care and a reliably organized operation. Care quality is described repeatedly as excellent: residents are described as being well taken care of, with some reviewers specifically noting peaceful and dignified care in final days. Several reviews highlight the facility’s strong medication management — staff are organized, the owner is knowledgeable about medication details, and there is active coordination with medical providers. These elements combine to create a sense that clinical needs are being met responsibly and attentively.

Staff is the most frequently praised element. Reviewers name individual caregivers (Saida, Mary, Faro) and use superlatives such as extraordinary, caring, and trusted. Comments note well-trained caregivers, long staff tenure, and personalities that make communication easy (sense of humor, warmth). Families feel kept informed of progress and appreciate clear communication. Multiple reviewers explicitly state that staff are welcoming to visiting family members and that they felt relief and gratitude for the level of hands-on, experienced attention provided.

The facility environment and amenities get consistent positive mentions. Reviewers describe a home-like atmosphere rather than an institutional feel. The building’s location and outdoor features are appreciated — specifically views of Green Lake Park and the outdoor deck. Dining is noted positively: reviewers comment on home-cooked, good meals. Activities are described as excellent and residents as happy, suggesting a program of engagement that supports quality of life beyond basic care.

Management and organizational strengths appear consistently: reviewers call the facility organized, knowledgeable, and easy to coordinate with. Positive remarks about coordination with medical providers and the owner’s attention to medication details reinforce an impression of competent leadership and oversight. Several comments suggest trust in the team and satisfaction with how care plans and communications are handled.

Noteworthy concerns are limited but should be acknowledged. One review specifically mentions a prior memory care wing that was "not thriving," which could indicate uneven performance in memory-specific programming or an isolated problem area. Another reviewer cited that "timing off," a vague comment that likely refers to scheduling or timing-related issues (for example, activity timing, medication rounds, or staff responsiveness windows). These concerns are few compared with the volume of praise but are meaningful if memory care services or punctuality are priorities for a prospective resident.

In summary, Evergreen Park AFH Greenlake is portrayed as a small, well-managed, home-like facility with excellent, compassionate caregivers and strong clinical organization. Strengths are particularly visible in personalized staff attention, medication management, family communication, and the pleasant physical setting near Green Lake. Prospective residents and families should feel confident about overall care quality and staff reliability; those with primary needs in memory care or who have strict requirements around timing/scheduling may want to ask targeted questions or request recent performance details about the memory care wing and daily scheduling practices during a tour or intake conversation.

Evergreen Park AFH Greenlake sits right on Green Lake Drive in Seattle, giving residents nice views of Green Lake Park and a quiet, cozy home-like setting. The community takes in up to six residents at a time and has four private bedrooms plus one shared bedroom, keeping things small and friendly so the staff can really get to know each person. Every room has its own bathroom, with showers that're wheelchair accessible, air conditioning, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and phone lines set up, all on the ground floor for easy access. Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture or decorations to make their space feel like home. The caregivers are kind, organized, and always around to help, and there's a nurse on staff as well as a home doctor who comes by, with an RN on call for extra support.

This adult family home provides both assisted living and memory care for seniors, including those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other mental health needs. The place is fully secured and uses technology like alarm bracelets if someone tries to leave, and handles folks who wander or show more challenging behaviors, even those needing heavy care, two-person transfers, and diabetes support with insulin injections. Medication management, incontinence care, grooming, and help with bathing or dressing are standard, and residents with complicated needs, mental illness, or developmental disabilities are welcome too. The staff stays in touch with families about how residents are doing, making sure everyone feels informed.

People at Evergreen Park AFH Greenlake eat homemade meals that're tailored to their special diets, whether it's no sugar, no sodium, vegetarian, gluten-free, kosher, or even soft and liquid versions as needed, and there's always baked goods made right there in the house. Residents enjoy meals together in the dining area, which is meant for easy socializing, and they can spend time in indoor lounges or out on the deck, which overlooks the park and is perfect for warm days. They also get plenty of activities, like Wii bowling, game nights, live music, arts and crafts, BBQs, family parties, movie nights, and holiday celebrations. Pets like small dogs or cats can live with the residents, and the staff even helps take care of them.

The home provides transportation services, parking for residents, and can arrange trips out for a fee. Everything stays accessible for folks with mobility issues, including wheelchair ramps and walk-in showers, plus an emergency call system. Housekeeping, laundry, and personal care chores are all included. The focus here stays on making sure seniors live as independently as possible, with dignity and with their privacy respected, while getting whatever help they need. The environment's relaxed and peaceful, more like a private house than a big facility. Visiting hours run from 9 in the morning until 8 at night, so family and friends can stop by regularly. This home's all about providing honest, safe, and compassionate care in a tight-knit, simple and familiar environment by the lake.
