    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews for Broadview Adult Family Home are overwhelmingly positive, with many reviewers using phrases such as "five-star quality," "highly recommended," and "treated like family." The dominant themes are strong, personalized caregiving delivered in a warm, home-like environment. Multiple reviewers highlight both the clinical competence and the emotional support provided, framing the home as a place where residents make noticeable progress and feel safe.

Care quality and staff: The strongest and most consistent praise centers on the staff. Reviewers repeatedly describe caregivers as compassionate, attentive, respectful, hard-working, and genuinely happy in their roles. There is specific mention of regular caregivers providing continuity and individualized attention, which supports personalized care plans and better outcomes for residents. An owner who is a registered nurse (RN) is noted as supportive and involved, and staff are described as knowledgeable, responsive, and trustworthy. Several reviews emphasize that staff include families in care, promote open communication, and develop relationships where staff and residents become friends. These patterns suggest a high level of hands-on, relationship-based care combined with clinical oversight.

Facilities and environment: Reviewers consistently note that the physical environment is clean, immaculate, and well maintained. Multiple mentions of a recently remodeled house, comfortable bedrooms, a large living area, and a backyard oasis paint a picture of an attractive, comfortable residence. The facility is described as cozy and inviting with a lively atmosphere rather than institutional—supporting the "home-away-from-home" character many families seek in adult family homes.

Communication, trust, and family involvement: Open communication and transparency recur as positive aspects. Reviewers describe trusting relationships with management and caregivers, and they emphasize family-inclusive practices. The sense of belonging reported by residents and families underscores a community-oriented approach: staff involvement, regular updates, and visible responsiveness to family concerns appear to be norms at this home according to the reviews.

Negative patterns and cautions: Among many positive comments there is a single, starkly negative summary stating "not reliable, kicked out after taking your money." This allegation is serious but appears to be isolated in the set of summaries provided. Because it directly contradicts the otherwise consistent pattern of trustworthiness and family-oriented practice, it should be treated as an outlier that warrants follow-up. Prospective families should ask the provider directly about payment policies, eviction procedures, licensing and complaint records, and should request references to clarify whether the negative report is an isolated dispute or indicative of a broader issue.

Missing or unmentioned areas: The summaries do not provide specific information about dining quality, menus, medical/medication administration protocols beyond RN oversight, formal activities programming, or exact staff-to-resident ratios. If those areas are important to a decision, they should be asked about during a tour or reference checks.

Bottom line: The reviews portray Broadview Adult Family Home as a clean, comfortable, and well-run home with compassionate, knowledgeable staff and strong family engagement—attributes that multiple families explicitly recommend. However, because of one serious negative allegation regarding reliability and eviction after payment, it is prudent for prospective residents or families to perform routine due diligence: review contracts closely, confirm payment and discharge policies, check licensing and complaint histories, and speak with current families or references. Taken together, the available feedback suggests a high-quality, family-centered adult family home with a single noteworthy complaint that should be investigated before placement.

    About Broadview Adult Family Home

Broadview Adult Family Home provides care in comfortable, home-like settings with unique names like Serene Manor, Sacred Garden Afh, Blessings Adult Family Home, and Water View Adult Family Home, and they also have places called Loving Heart, Happy Heart, and Joyful Place, plus others like Casa Di Cura Afh and Sanctuary Afh, so there's a wide range of homes with different focuses and styles. This group of homes can be found in many cities, including Seattle, Renton, Kent, Burien, and Shoreline, and they each have six licensed beds, so every place is small and personal. Some homes have a focus on special care-Cedar Park and Ethos Afh LLC, for example, handle things like advanced Dementia care and Hospice, and there's always a registered nurse or EMT either on-site or on-call, with caregivers around at all times.

Each home sits in a quiet neighborhood with safe, fully fenced yards, paved walkways, heated and lighted gazebos, mature landscaping, and accessible patios and decks, with several rooms having French doors that open up to the outside, which helps folks feel at home and able to go outside safely if they want. The houses are all recently remodeled, easy to move around in with a wheelchair, with big roll-in showers, and private or semi-private rooms, and everyone gets their own air conditioning and heating controls. Each bedroom has a three-motor adjustable bed, an LED TV with premium cable and streaming, and either furnished or unfurnished spaces, and you'll find emergency call buttons, internet, newspapers, and magazines too.

People living here get help with bathing, dressing, eating, taking medicine, and other daily needs, and nurses provide blood glucose and cardiac monitoring, as well as wound care and help for folks with hearing or vision problems. Homes cook meals with fresh fruits and vegetables, can handle Kosher or special diets, and offer snacks and drinks throughout the day. There are laundry and housekeeping services, plus haircuts and manicures brought in, and staff encourage activity with exercise classes, gardening, crafts, music programs, movie nights, bingo, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, pet therapy, and cooking therapy, which helps make the place lively. There's a fall prevention program, shower and toilet help, visual reminders, and a standby whole-house generator keeps things powered in a storm. Pets are sometimes welcome, though there are limits. The location is close to bus lines if requested. They have wheelchair and walker access everywhere, all level flooring, and safety features for folks who might try to leave when they shouldn't, with exits secured and fenced.

Broadview Adult Family Home is nurse-owned and operated, and the owners developed personalized care plans for everyone, adjusting to their preferences and skills, and you can find both non-Medicaid and enhanced care options here, along with adult residential care, dementia care, hospice, and even specialized respite stays if a family caregiver just needs a break. The staff can arrange physical, occupational, and speech therapy, plus music therapy, and work to keep family members connected and involved. It's a quiet, steady environment with a focus on comfort and safety, designed for seniors with many different needs.
