    Compassionate, clean, skilled hospice care

I'm extremely grateful for the genuinely caring, loving and professional staff - Marcia and John communicated clearly and everyone treated my mom with respect and kindness. She had a spacious, beautifully furnished private room with a bath, was bathed and dressed with dignity, and enjoyed family-style meals, social activities and the roomy great room. The home-like, spotlessly clean facility felt safe and peaceful, provided skilled hospice and emotional support, and maintained residents' health through the pandemic. I highly recommend this small, compassionate community.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews for Evergreen Quality Home are uniformly positive and emphasize a consistently high level of personal care, strong emotional support, and a peaceful, home-like environment. Across multiple summaries, reviewers specifically note that staff are loving, compassionate, respectful, and safety-focused. Several family members reported that their loved ones felt loved, mentally and physically well cared for, and in some cases did not want to leave — a strong indicator of resident comfort and satisfaction. The facility is repeatedly described as clean, inviting, and maintained even through challenging times such as the pandemic.

Care quality and staff: A central theme is the exceptional quality of care delivered by staff. Reviewers highlight not only clinical competence (including skilled hospice procedures) but also sensitivity and emotional support for both residents and families. Specific praise is given to named staff/management (Marcia and John) as knowledgeable and professional. The staff are portrayed as attentive to personal needs (examples cited: residents bathed and dressed, frequent living room visits), prioritizing dignity and privacy, and providing clear, upfront communication about responsibilities and expectations of care.

Facilities and living environment: The physical setting is described as spacious yet intimate. Private, beautifully furnished rooms with en-suite bathrooms are frequently mentioned, alongside a roomy great room that facilitates socializing. The small number of residents is framed positively: it enables individualized attention, creates a privacy-focused atmosphere, and fosters a family-like sense of community rather than an institutional feel. The facility is called spotlessly clean and inviting, contributing to the overall sense of peace and safety.

Dining and activities: Dining is portrayed as family-style and home-like, a point that contributes to residents’ comfort and the homely atmosphere. Social programming is active and meaningful — reviewers noted enjoyable events such as a singing session — and the common spaces support group interaction. The combination of family-style meals and organized activities appears to reinforce communal ties and resident engagement.

Management, communication, and pandemic response: Reviewers appreciate transparent, upfront communication from the facility about care responsibilities and what families can expect. Management is described as professional, sensitive, and accessible. Commenters specifically note that the home maintained residents’ health through the pandemic, implying effective infection-control practices and operational resilience during a challenging period.

Emotional and end-of-life care: Several reviews emphasize the facility’s strength in providing hospice-level care and emotional support for families during end-of-life stages. The language used — hope, peace, lovingkindness — suggests that the home attends to psychosocial and spiritual needs, not just physical care, offering comfort to both residents and their families.

Notable patterns and limitations in the reviews: The dominant pattern is overwhelmingly positive feedback focused on personal attention, cleanliness, comfort, and compassionate staff. Reviewers repeatedly recommend the facility highly. One limitation of this synthesis is that the provided summaries contain almost exclusively positive observations; there are no specific recurring criticisms or operational concerns mentioned in these excerpts. Because negative comments are absent from these summaries, it is not possible to identify consistent weaknesses from this dataset alone (for example, cost, staffing ratios at all times, or location/transportation issues are not discussed). Prospective families should regard the overwhelmingly positive themes as strong indicators of quality but may still want to ask direct questions about areas not covered in these reviews.

Conclusion: Based on the collected summaries, Evergreen Quality Home presents as a small, well-maintained, and compassionate residential home that excels in individualized care, clear communication, and creating a peaceful, home-like environment. Strengths that stand out are the caring and skilled staff (including hospice capability), private and comfortable living spaces, meaningful social life and meals, and a reassuring track record through the pandemic. The reviews collectively make a compelling case for the facility as a highly recommended option for families seeking respectful, attentive, and emotionally supportive senior care.

    About Evergreen Quality Home

Evergreen Quality Home sits in a quiet residential area at 304 NW 102 St, Vancouver, WA, and has cared for local seniors since 2003. The home keeps things personal by having only six residents at a time, so folks get one-on-one care and don't feel lost in a crowd, and with the owners, Marcia Roial-Craciun and her family, living right there on-site, there's a close-knit, family feeling you don't always see in bigger places. The trained caregivers help with personal care like bathing, dressing, and grooming, and provide incontinence care and walking assistance, so residents always have someone to lean on if needed, whether it's getting up in the morning or turning in at night. There are private rooms with bathrooms and nice views, and the house has both indoor and outdoor common areas, so everyone can spend time together or have quiet moments by the window or in the fresh air. Meals are balanced, snacks are available, and kosher or vegetarian diets are provided when needed-plus, there's help with feeding if it becomes hard to manage alone.

The home has a strong focus on dementia and memory care, with motion sensors in the rooms for extra safety, doors locked for residents needing secure surroundings, and activities like music, puzzles, walks, holiday parties, and simple exercises so everyone has a reason to smile throughout the week. From medical needs like medication reminders and stroke recovery support, to services for people who are blind, deaf, living with Parkinson's, or need therapy or hospice, the staff adjusts care plans for each person. Folks can continue living here even if needs get more complex over time, thanks to "age in place" arrangements that bring in therapy or hospice professionals right to the home. There's 24-hour care from fully trained staff, adults can call or text Marcia for visits Monday through Thursday, and visiting hours run from 9am to 8pm, so families can stop by during the day. Housekeeping keeps rooms tidy, laundry's done on schedule, and there's always someone around for emergencies any time of day or night. Wheelchairs fit throughout the house, and the home handles transportation to appointments, so doctor visits and outings go smoothly. Folks take part in daily activities, devotional services if they wish, and enjoy regular birthday and holiday celebrations together. This is a small, safe, and loving place intended for seniors who want care in a home-like setting and for those who need a steady helping hand as they age.
