    Beautiful modern facility, compassionate care

I toured the recently updated, locally owned facility and was impressed - beautiful, modern and clean with spacious private rooms (two ensuites), lovely views, and a quiet, accessible location. The staff are professional, compassionate and highly skilled, truly go above and beyond, provide care with dignity, and the excellent 1:6 care ratio makes a real difference. Safe, welcoming and well run - I highly recommend it and would want to live there.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment Reviews for The Heights are overwhelmingly positive. Multiple reviewers highlight exceptional care, a modern and well‑maintained physical plant, and an attractive location with good views. The dominant themes are high praise for staff performance and compassion, recent facility upgrades, and a generally peaceful, welcoming environment. Reviewers frequently state they would recommend the community and some indicate they would personally choose to live there.

Care quality and staffing Care quality is the most consistently emphasized strength. Reviews repeatedly describe staff as going "above and beyond," being "passionate," and providing "care with dignity." Specific mentions of highly skilled nursing staff and professionally trained caregivers suggest clinical competence as well as personal attentiveness. Several reviewers note excellent support with activities of daily living and attentive, accommodating service. A point repeatedly called out is the favorable staffing ratio (approximately 1:6 compared with 1:15 elsewhere), which reviewers associate with better responsiveness and individualized attention. Ownership and management also receive positive mention—reviewers describe caring owners and excellent customer service, indicating that leadership is visible and perceived as engaged.

Facilities and accommodations Physical attributes are another strong area. The Heights is described as a newly updated, modern facility with spacious common areas that are accessible and comfortable. Private rooms with two ensuites are cited explicitly, along with "spacious accommodations," "beautifully updated" interiors, and "wonderful rooms." Cleanliness and good upkeep appear consistently in the reviews. The combination of modern finishes, private ensuite layouts, and accessible common spaces is presented as a meaningful quality-of-life advantage.

Location, views, and atmosphere Location and surroundings are highlighted positively: reviewers mention quiet, accessible, and safe surroundings, often with a "gorgeous" or "beautiful" view. The setting contributes to a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere that several reviewers say makes them comfortable and would make them want to live there. Ease of access and a tranquil environment come through as recurring positive points.

Operations and ownership Several reviews emphasize that the community is locally owned and operated and mention "caring owners." Reviewers pair this with comments about excellent customer service and attentive management, suggesting a hands‑on ownership style that residents and families find reassuring. The local ownership theme may contribute to the consistently cited personalized approach to care.

Notable omissions and considerations What is not present in these summaries is any substantive commentary on dining, social programming/activities, memory-care specifics beyond staffing, clinical outcomes, wait lists, pricing, or transitions/admissions processes. Because the reviews concentrate on staff, facility condition, and location, prospective residents or families should note these gaps and ask about menus, activity calendars, medication management protocols, specialized clinical services, and cost/contract terms when evaluating the community further. Also, the reviews are uniformly positive—while that signals strong satisfaction, it may reflect selection or reporting bias; an in‑person visit and direct questions to management are still advised.

Conclusion In sum, The Heights is consistently portrayed as a modern, well-kept community with compassionate, well-trained staff and favorable staffing levels that support personalized care. Its private, well-appointed rooms and attractive location with good views strengthen its appeal. Reviewers frequently recommend the community and praise the owners and customer service. To round out the picture, interested parties should request information on dining, activities, pricing, and any clinical programming to confirm those aspects meet their specific needs, since those topics are not covered in the available review summaries.

    About The Heights

The Heights sits on 8 acres in the East Valley School District and offers senior housing in a peaceful country setting, where there's a big one-story home built in 1992, remodeled since, with frame and brick construction and a concrete slab foundation, and you'll see fruit trees, a landscaped yard, and a garden outside, along with a deck and patio for sitting or relaxing, and a detached two-car garage with opener and room for RV parking if you've got one, plus a separate shop building for hobbies or storage. The house runs on a community well for water, has a septic system for sewage, and uses a water softener, so the basics are covered and you don't have to worry about city utilities. There's central air conditioning to stay cool, and inside, the seven bedrooms are all big, and the four and a half bathrooms make it easy for residents and staff alike, with private rooms set up for up to six residents, and always 24-hour care-day or night-with awake staff so no one is left alone.

The main living space is open concept, making it easy to move around, with a huge kitchen with plenty of counter space, two ovens, a gas range, a dishwasher, a pantry, a kitchen island, and a built-in central vacuum, and you'll find big bedrooms, a den or office, and a mudroom, all with a mix of carpet, tile, vinyl, and wood floors, and inside you also get a pellet stove and a wood stove fireplace, so it can be cozy as well as practical, and the main suite's got walk-in closets and a full bath. Outbuildings include a workshop for projects or tools. The views from the property are scenic and give you that sense of being away from the noise, which many seniors like.

The Heights is an adult family home that focuses on assisted living and offers personalized care, with skilled nurses and caregivers on staff, available all hours, and medication management, meal planning, diabetic care, and services for people with complex medical needs who need close supervision, so you know there's always help available. Staff help with inspections, disclosures, and even planning broader real estate or property needs, which means families can get information about home buying and selling help, or support with rental options, if that's needed. Resources are available for learning about pricing properties and for preparing homes, and the office and agents are always around to provide guidance. The place is quiet, well-kept, and made for easy living, where privacy and support both matter.
