Oak Run Cbrf is a Class AS, 8-bed, co-ed state-licensed Community-Based Residential Facility that provides a comfortable, homelike environment for its residents. Nestled in a peaceful, wooded country setting, Oak Run offers residents an abundance of space and privacy, contributing to a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. The facility is designed with both first and second-floor private bedrooms, giving each resident their own personal retreat. Double bedrooms are rarely necessary, and are only assigned if specifically required by a resident’s individual needs. Multiple common and entertainment rooms are available throughout the facility, fostering opportunities for socialization, recreation, and relaxation.
The cornerstone of Oak Run’s approach is the provision of 24-hour awake supervision and monitoring to ensure the safety and well-being of every resident. Upon admission, each individual receives an initial resident-specific assessment, which is followed by the creation of a 30-day temporary Individual Service Plan (ISP). After the first month, staff at Oak Run complete a comprehensive 30-day assessment and implement a more detailed ISP, which is tailored to address the evolving needs of the resident. The commitment to resident-specific programming ensures that all support and care strategies are both personalized and adaptive over time.
Oak Run places a strong emphasis on personal growth and skill building through its Independent Living Skills Program. Residents are encouraged and supported as they develop essential abilities in areas such as household chores, personal laundry, room maintenance, meal planning and preparation, social skills, and fiscal management. Community integration is a significant focus, with staff assisting residents as they engage in mental health management, recovery work, and constructive daily activities. Each resident participates in a reward program—either monetary or alternative—customized to motivate and celebrate the achievement of their personal goals.
Beyond the core programs, Oak Run assists residents in pursuing vocational, educational, and spiritual interests, collaborating closely with treatment providers to ensure that these pursuits align with each resident’s treatment plan. A comprehensive weekly activity schedule is developed, offering a variety of constructive activities, therapeutic groups, and recreational outings that further community integration and personal enrichment. Throughout their stay, each resident’s daily progress is carefully documented, allowing staff to promptly identify symptoms and areas of concern so that services and treatments can be adjusted as needed. The dedicated staff at Oak Run participates in an intensive training program, ensuring a high standard of care and attention for each resident, while maintaining a nurturing environment that supports independence and well-being.
