    Homey, attentive staff; clean apartments

I placed my dad here when I could no longer care for him and the small, homey community treated him wonderfully. The staff were amazing and helpful (even with hospice/Medicare); the place is very clean with a pleasant smell, roomy private apartments (washer/dryer included), covered porch and comfy common areas - dining is good but could be better. It's single-story and convenient to restaurants/Walmart, rent covers water/sewer/trash (electric/gas separate); the building and amenities are older and it's a bit pricey, but the family atmosphere and attentive care made it worth it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is positive, with frequent praise for the caring staff, clean and home-like environment, and convenient, efficient apartment living. Multiple reviewers emphasize that staff are friendly, helpful and attentive—descriptions include "amazing," "took good care of my dad," and staff who assist with hospice and Medicare—indicating a consistently strong level of personal care and family-oriented support. Several reviewers said they loved the community and highlighted a welcoming, small-scale atmosphere that feels like home rather than an institutional setting.

The physical environment is described as smaller but efficient. Apartments are singled out for being easy to manage, with in-unit washer and dryer and a single-story layout that many residents and families find convenient. Rooms are reported to be good-sized and private, and residents are able to decorate to make spaces feel personal. Common areas include a lounge with books and a living room equipped with a large-screen TV and Roku, plus a covered porch and patio that contribute to the comfortable, homelike setting. Maintenance and cleanliness receive repeated positive notes—reviewers mention the facility smells pleasant, is very clean, and is well maintained.

There are, however, some recurring drawbacks. The building and amenities are described as older or dated, which may affect first impressions or expectations for more modern features. Activity programming appears limited: reviewers commonly note a low activity level in the center, suggesting fewer organized social or recreational options than some prospective residents might want. Dining receives mixed feedback—some reviews praise the food and dining experience, but others explicitly say the food "could be better," indicating inconsistency in meal quality or fit with resident preferences.

Cost and billing specifics are another consistent theme. Rent is noted to include water, sewer, and trash, which is a convenience, but electricity and gas are billed separately—an important budgeting detail for families to consider. A number of reviewers also described the community as "expensive," so prospective residents should weigh costs against the level of care, staffing, and the smaller, homey atmosphere offered.

In summary, Willow Creek of Sheridan appears to offer a warm, family-like environment with strong, compassionate staff and clean, efficiently designed living spaces. It is especially well suited for people who value private, homelike rooms, hands-on staff support (including hospice/Medicare assistance), and the convenience of central town location and included basic utilities like water/sewer/trash. Potential trade-offs include an older building with somewhat dated amenities, a quieter activity schedule, mixed opinions on food quality, and additional utility costs plus an overall higher price point. Prospective residents and families should prioritize whether staff quality, cleanliness, and a small-community feel outweigh the desire for modern amenities and a more active program calendar.
