      Tender family-style care, tiny rooms

I experienced tender, family-style care in a spotless home that always smelled wonderful; the homemade, healthy food was excellent. Medication management and an in-house pharmacy gave me peace of mind, and activities felt nicely tailored. Rooms are very small-almost closet-sized-so while the care and food felt like good value to me, others may find the price poor for the tight quarters.

      Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for San Andres is largely positive and centers on strong caregiving, very good food, good clinical support, and high cleanliness standards, with a notable caveat about small living spaces and at least one comment questioning value for price. Several reviewers emphasize personal, home-like qualities and clinical conveniences that together form the core strengths of the facility. However, a single detailed negative perspective about room size and value is significant enough to affect overall impressions for prospective residents who prioritize private space.

Care quality and staff: Reviewers repeatedly highlight compassionate, hands-on caregiving. Phrases like "tender loving care" and "family teamwork" suggest the staff operate in a close-knit, collaborative way and provide attentive, personalized assistance. The presence of medication management and an in-house pharmacy points to reliable clinical support and convenient access to medications, which is a strong practical advantage for residents who require regular medication oversight. Multiple reviewers explicitly state they would recommend the facility, reinforcing that staff and care practices leave a positive impression overall.

Facilities and cleanliness: Cleanliness is a consistent theme — reviewers describe the house as "spotless" with a "wonderful smell," indicating strong housekeeping and attention to hygienic conditions. The environment is portrayed as home-like rather than institutional. The primary facility-related concern is size: one reviewer describes the house as "small," "enclosed," with a "closet-sized room." This indicates that while the communal atmosphere may be welcoming, private living quarters and overall spatial expansiveness can be limited. Prospective residents should confirm room dimensions and common-area size to ensure the layout meets their needs.

Dining and activities: Dining receives very high marks; reviewers repeatedly call the food "homemade," "healthy," "delicious," and "excellent," and they contrast it with standard institutional meals by emphasizing home-cooked quality. This suggests strong kitchen staffing and a focus on nutrition and taste. Activities are described as "tailored," implying programming is individualized or adjusted to resident interests and abilities rather than purely generic. Those interested in engaging daily life are likely to find appropriate options here.

Value and recommendations: Most summaries express satisfaction and recommendation, and one reviewer explicitly mentions "good value." Conversely, at least one reviewer considers the facility "poor value for price," creating a mixed message on cost-effectiveness. This divergence suggests variability in expectations or differences in which features matter most (for example, space versus care quality). Prospective residents should inquire about pricing tiers, what is included (medication management, pharmacy access, meals, activities), and whether different room sizes or private-room upgrades are available.

Notable patterns and final assessment: The dominant patterns are strong, personalized care; excellent, home-style meals; solid clinical supports (medication management and an in-house pharmacy); and exceptional cleanliness. The major caution is physical space: small or cramped rooms and an overall enclosed feeling reported by at least one reviewer, and mixed feedback on value suggests that impressions of worth depend strongly on whether an applicant prioritizes warm, home-like care and food over larger private quarters. For many families and residents seeking a clean, family-oriented, clinically supported small-home environment with great meals and attentive staff, San Andres appears to be a very good match. Those who need larger private rooms or place primary emphasis on spaciousness should verify room sizes and pricing before committing.
