    Personable staff, clean homelike care

I'm very pleased with Tender Loving Care - the owner and staff are personable, patient and genuinely caring, the facility is clean and home-like, and my mom is happier, more active and sleeping better. I recommend TLC for personalized, reasonably priced adult day care; we feel blessed to have found such a supportive team.

    Summary of reviews

Tender Hands Home Care is frequently described by families as a warm, home-like adult day option with strong interpersonal strengths. Many comments emphasize compassionate, personable staff, an engaged owner, and a welcoming physical environment. Reviewers highlighted an active programming schedule and documentation of participation (including photos), and some families noted measurable benefits such as improved sleep and overall mood. The facility is also described as clean, reasonably priced, conveniently located, and attentive to individual preferences.

Care-quality impressions are mixed. Positive accounts emphasize personalized attention, patient caregivers, and a family-like culture that makes participants eager to return. However, a subset of reviewers raised clinical concerns that suggest unevenness in operational proficiency. These concerns center on gaps in staff clinical training and competency, inconsistent vital-signs monitoring and documentation, and variable incontinence-care practices. Relatedly, a few families indicated they were asked to step in when staff-level escalation or assistance was needed.

Staff and management receive largely favorable comments for bedside manner and owner involvement. The owner is described as personable and active, and staff are characterized as caring, knowledgeable, and supportive. That said, the combination of strong interpersonal skills with reported clinical inconsistencies points to a facility where relational care is a clear strength but where clinical protocols, supervision, and training may not be uniformly enforced.

Activities and daily life appear to be notable positives. Families describe engaging programming, documentation of participation, and a welcoming atmosphere that residents enjoy. Reviews do not provide detailed information about dining; there are no consistent comments about meal quality or menus, so prospective families should request specifics on dietary accommodations and meal schedules during a visit.

Facilities and cost: reviewers consistently describe a clean, well-maintained, and home-like setting with reasonable fees. Location and accessibility are noted as advantages. Management is viewed as attentive and hands-on, which supports a positive family experience when staff performance is consistent.

Notable patterns to consider when evaluating this provider: strong emphasis on compassion, individualized attention, and social engagement, contrasted with occasional operational weaknesses in clinical tasks, monitoring, and manual-handling safety. Prospective families should observe caregiving interactions in person and ask targeted questions about staff training, credentialing, supervision, staffing ratios, transfer/manual-handling protocols, incontinence-care procedures, vital-sign monitoring policies, incident escalation pathways, and documentation practices. Asking for references from current families and requesting a demonstration of transfer techniques or a review of a sample care plan may help clarify whether the facility’s clinical safeguards meet the level of care required for a particular individual.

    About Tender Hands Home Care

Tender Hands Home Care sits on Brushy Wood Drive in Loganville, Georgia, run by Marlene Easie since 2010 and provides help for up to 6 seniors in a licensed Personal Care Home. The small size makes it easy for residents to get to know each other, and caregivers are known to be kind and friendly, always working to create a safe and supportive place. This community offers help with daily needs such as dressing, grooming, cooking, laundry, and housekeeping, and staff handle medication management and arrange transportation for appointments or outings when needed. There are private bathrooms and independent living options for those who remain active, along with room amenities like private baths and photos of accommodations available. Nurses and trained team members provide medical support for chronic issues like diabetes, incontinence, non-ambulatory care, and memory loss, plus they offer specialized programs for seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia. Memory care includes safety features that help reduce wandering and other risks. Seniors can get kosher or vegetarian meals, and the kitchen handles personal preferences. The community offers a wide mix of activities, both onsite and offsite, including devotional gatherings and beautician services. For those recovering or needing short stays, there's respite care, and those who need more help long term can rely on the staff. House safety is a big focus with special products named Best Walk-In Tubs and Medication Dispensers, while staff stay alert with Medical Alert Systems like Medical Guardian, ADT Medical Alert, and Bay Alarm Medical. They're open to providing general information to those who ask, and everything is managed by a small, tight-knit group of about five employees. Tender Hands Home Care has built a positive reputation for trust and helpfulness, providing peace of mind for both seniors and their families, and it's recognized as a home health care provider under Georgia's guidelines. While the place isn't large or fancy, you'll find most people are just happy to have a friendly face help them out, whether it's getting to the doctor, making sure meds get taken on time, or just having someone nearby if something happens.
