    About Legends Living Care

Legends Living Care is a small adult family home in Edmonds, Washington, with six licensed beds in a private house close to Seaview Park and downtown shops, which feels a lot like a comfortable family home, and there's always staff around, day and night, taking care of basic needs like meals, laundry, personal care, and medication reminders, plus they help with bathing, dressing, and mobility, some people live there long term and others come for respite or hospice care in the last weeks of life, and the caregivers are certified and specially trained to help with memory problems, mental health needs, developmental disabilities, and even people who wander or act out, so it's really suited for higher and changing care needs, especially for dementia and Alzheimer's. Residents have their own private rooms with phones, TV, and high-speed internet, smart remotes, and bathrooms with wheelchair accessible showers-some rooms are made just for memory care, in a separate locked building with alarms, exit-seeking alerts, and technology like bracelets to help keep people safe if they wander, and staff use a computerized alert system if anyone tries to leave an unsafe area. Meals come fresh each day and can be kosher, vegetarian, or even organic if somebody wants, and meals help accommodate special diets, diabetes, and nutrition needs, and there's physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, doctor and nurse visits, podiatry, pharmacy delivery, and rehab services that come right to the house, and the setup includes easy wheelchair access, a garden for walks, a music area for singalongs and recitals, indoor and outdoor sitting areas, and an activity room. There are structured activities with an activity director-like movie nights, exercise, storytime, tea, puzzles, aroma therapy, holiday events, birthday parties, and picnics outside-plus spa days, beauty and barber services on site, and visits from pets even though pets can't live there full-time. There's resident and guest parking, newspapers, complimentary transportation for appointments, and cable TV with local sports and private channels. The home is secure with alarm and camera systems, a backup generator, and the staff can handle all kinds of daily living challenges, including incontinence, help with transfers-even those needing a two-person lift or mechanical lift-and help for those with behavioral symptoms. There are memory care rooms at around $8,000 a month and semi-private rooms at around $7,500, and all rooms are private. Visiting hours run from 9:00am to 8:00pm, and tours can be scheduled to meet the staff and see the building. Availability isn't always open, so people need to call to see what's possible, and there's always twenty-four hour care, on-site help, and a calm family feel for seniors wanting a home-like place where people really pay attention to their needs and comfort.
