      Small clean home caring staff

I toured this small, clean residence on a quiet cul‑de‑sac and was impressed by the personable owner and Norma, the knowledgeable RN (her husband is a dietician). Their two homes operate together, staff are highly committed, care is very personalized and they’ll go the extra mile; the food was nice. Unfortunately there is no availability right now.

      Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing the high level of individualized care, the professionalism of clinical staff, and the pleasant, home-like environment. The facility is described as a nice residence situated on a cul-de-sac, which reinforces the impression of a quiet, residential setting rather than an institutional atmosphere. Reviewers repeatedly note being impressed by the owner and the care team, indicating consistent satisfaction with day-to-day operations and resident treatment.

Care quality and staff stand out as the primary strengths. Norma, identified specifically as a knowledgeable RN, is mentioned by name and associated with clinical competence and leadership. Reviewers also highlight that the owner's husband is a dietician, which suggests that nutritional needs and meal planning receive professional attention. Multiple comments describe staff as personable, highly committed to residents, and willing to go the extra mile—phrases like "personalized care" and "willing to go extra lengths" appear across summaries. This combination of hands-on nursing expertise and attention to individualized needs points to a facility that prioritizes both medical oversight and compassionate caregiving.

Facilities, cleanliness, and dining receive uniformly favorable notes. The property is characterized as clean and well-maintained, and the food is mentioned positively, which aligns with the presence of a dietician in the leadership team. The home-like double-residence arrangement (owner's home plus a second care residence) reinforces the residential feel and may contribute to the perceived cleanliness and comfort. While reviewers praise facilities and food, there are no specific details about common areas, outdoor spaces beyond the cul-de-sac location, or the breadth of physical amenities, so impressions are positive but somewhat general.

Management and ownership impressions are particularly strong: reviewers call the owner personable and highly committed, and they describe being impressed by management involvement. That direct owner involvement—combined with on-site clinical expertise—appears to create a tightly run, attentive environment. The small-scale, owner-operated model likely supports the personalized approach noted repeatedly in the summaries.

The most significant and recurring concern is availability. Multiple summaries explicitly state that the facility currently has no availability. Given the described setup (owner's home plus a second residence), reviewers and the summaries imply limited capacity, which likely explains the admissions constraint. This is the only clear negative theme across the reviews; there are no repeated complaints about care quality, safety, staff turnover, or food. However, the small size that contributes to a favorable home-like atmosphere also appears to create access limitations for prospective residents.

There are a few gaps in the reviews worth noting. The summaries do not provide detail on programming or activities, specialized medical services beyond RN oversight, pricing and contract terms, or how emergency and after-hours medical needs are handled. Because the available comments emphasize strengths in staffing, nutrition, cleanliness, and personalized care, prospective families should follow up on these operational details and inquire about waitlist procedures, expected timeframes for openings, and any alternatives the facility might suggest when full.

In conclusion, the reviews depict Norflor Manor AFH II as a small, well-run, home-like adult family home with strong clinical leadership (an on-site RN), professional nutritional support (owner's husband is a dietician), and a committed, personable staff that provides attentive, individualized care. Cleanliness and food quality are additional pluses. The primary downside for those searching for immediate placement is the lack of current availability and the facility's limited capacity. For families seeking a residential, personalized care environment and willing to join a waitlist or explore timing, this facility appears to merit strong consideration based on the available feedback.
