      Attentive care, but unhelpful staff

I appreciated the attentive, advanced care and some warm, caring staff, but my overall experience was marred by unhelpful employees, absent managers, and inconsistent cleanliness. I'm unhappy with how things were handled and will not be returning my mother.

      About Agape Home Care

Agape Home Care LLC sits at 4613 Northeast Work Avenue in Vancouver, Washington, and is a small residential care home with room for up to six residents, so folks get quite a bit of personalized attention here, and all the rooms are private and come with their own bathrooms, which is a nice touch for comfort and privacy, and the whole place is set up for wheelchair accessibility, with showers and common areas indoors and outside where people can relax, spend time together, or just get some fresh air. The staff provide help with daily needs like bathing, dressing, medication, meals, and even hairdresser or barber services, and there's memory care for those who need it, high acuity and diabetic care, help with incontinence, and medication management, with extra services like hospice care or skilled nursing if it's needed, and respite care available for short-term stays, which can be a relief for family caregivers. Meals include three home-cooked dishes each day, with special menu options for folks with medical diets, and choices like kosher and vegetarian are available as well, and if someone needs their meals adjusted for diabetes or high blood pressure, the staff can do that too. There are planned activities like music therapy, board games, pet therapy, arts and crafts, movie nights, and fitness programs, plus a reading room, a jacuzzi, a steam room, and outdoor spaces, and transportation is offered for doctor visits, errands, or faith-based activities, helping everyone stay connected with the wider community. Residents can bring small pets like cats or dogs if they want, and there's always an effort to create a warm, caring, and clean environment where people can feel at home and safe, and for entertainment and social life there are community events and game rooms. The community comes regulated under Washington's Department of Social Services, carrying license number 751006, and prices start near $3,000 a month but can change depending on care needs, amenities, and room type, and they accept private pay, long-term care insurance, and Veterans Aid and Attendance benefits, with a fair rating of 3.67 out of 3 reviews, so it's worth considering for those looking for a comfortable, small, and attentive care home in Vancouver.
