    Compassionate rehab, small rooms, staffing

I found the staff overwhelmingly caring and attentive - therapists and CNAs went above and beyond and helped with strong rehab outcomes. The building is clean, active, and community-oriented with good recreational programming; meals were hit-or-miss. Major downsides: rooms are very small and often shared, roommate noise/privacy issues, and staffing inconsistencies that sometimes led to missed meds, turning and safety concerns. Overall, great for short-term rehab and compassionate care, but I'd be cautious about long-term placement without close family oversight.

    About Davis Place

Davis Place sits at 111 Westcott Rd. in Danielson, CT, and has been privately run since its opening in 2014, offering 190 beds for skilled nursing and rehabilitation. Folks here find a place that tries to meet their needs whether they're looking for long-term care, sub-acute rehab, or short-term respite care, and the place has a special 32-bed subacute unit with private suites that come with half bathrooms and updated shower rooms. People see that Davis Place covers a bunch of care options, including wound care, orthopedic rehab, joint replacement therapy, cardiac recovery, pulmonary care, IV services, skilled nursing, hospice and palliative care, and stroke management, while they also focus on short-term rehab for folks needing to get back on their feet after operations or illness. Staff make care plans that consider people's hobbies and interests, and there's family education, so folks helping their loved ones know how to support them. You'll find different lobbies and dining rooms, including a recent new dining area that aims to help make meals easier or more pleasant for short-term and ambulatory patients. The place has regular activities for culture, fun, and socializing, while folks can relax in day rooms or head outdoors to landscaped grounds when the weather's nice. The building's been renovated with common spaces that feel clean and up to date, and they've brought in modern technology for healthcare work. Rehabilitative services are available on-site, and the programs here focus on helping people recover and manage conditions at every stage, whether they're here just for a little while or for the long run. Families and residents who want to know more can check their website or Facebook page for more detailed information about day-to-day activities or any new updates, but it seems you might need a certain browser to use their main site.
