    Excellent senior community with amenities

I toured this beautiful, new senior living community with mountain views and well-kept grounds. The top-of-the-line, very large facility has a lovely dining area with multiple restaurant options, a salt-water pool, gym, physical therapy, and lots of activity spaces (woodshop, art/ sewing rooms, thrift shop, bikes). Staff were pleasant and helpful, residents seemed happy, and services (housekeeping, maintenance, shuttles, future care included) were solid. Apartments have full kitchens but can be small and pricey; cottages are nicer but expensive. Overall I left with a very positive impression and confidence in the care.

    Summary review

Overall impression from the reviews is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize high-quality care, a broad continuum of services, and an extensive set of amenities. Many comments describe The Glebe as a top-of-the-line, newer facility with attractive grounds and mountain views; residents generally seem happy and reviewers reported pleasant interactions during tours. The combination of multiple care levels (assisted living through total care) and statements that pricing "includes future care" contributes to an impression of comprehensive, long-term planning and security for residents.

Care quality and clinical services are consistently praised. Reviews call it a "total care" facility with top-notch care, and they specifically highlight an on-site physical therapy department, fitness programs, a gym, and a new salt-water pool. These references suggest the community supports both rehabilitation and ongoing wellness options. The availability of shuttles and structured fitness services indicates attention to mobility, access, and preventive health as part of the living experience.

Staff and management receive positive marks in multiple reviews. The staff are described as large, friendly, pleasant, and helpful; tours left a favorable impression and personnel were noted as professional. Maintenance and housekeeping are called out as reliably handled, and several reviewers appreciated that maintenance tasks and property upkeep are covered, which reduces resident and family burden. These operational strengths reinforce the perception of attentive management and day-to-day reliability.

Facilities and amenities are a major strength. The property is large and described as beautiful and well-kept, with multiple reading areas and a variety of on-site options: multiple dining venues (casual, formal, bar), hobby spaces (wood shop, sewing/knitting/painting rooms), a thrift shop, bike rentals, and cottages or on-campus housing alternatives. Housing descriptions are mixed but often positive — many rooms are noted as nice, with fully equipped kitchens and regular housekeeping, and some reviewers cited decently sized apartments. The presence of multiple recreational and creative spaces supports a vibrant, active community life.

Dining is a standout but nuanced. Many reviews praise the dining as excellent with restaurant-style service and a very good menu; multiple dining venues and a beautiful dining area were specifically mentioned. The community also offers takeout and delivery options. However, at least one reviewer observed the takeout or to-go food looked unappealing, indicating that while in-restaurant dining is strong, off-premise meal presentation or packaging may be an area for improvement.

Activities and social life are prominent positives. Reviewers frequently note numerous events, lots of activities, and a full calendar that includes fitness classes, crafts, and social outings. The availability of creative hobby rooms and group opportunities (painting, sewing, wood shop) plus amenities like bike rentals and a thrift shop contributes to a sense of an engaged community where residents can pursue varied interests.

The most consistent concerns relate to cost and space. Several reviews call housing "expensive" and reference high monthly fees, particularly for cottages and on-campus houses. Some respondents also described rooms as small or felt that pricing was high relative to room size. These comments indicate that while many reviewers felt the overall value (especially given the breadth of services and future-care pricing) was positive, affordability and perceived space per dollar are important potential trade-offs for prospective residents.

In summary, the aggregated reviews paint The Glebe as a well-regarded, full-service senior living community with strong clinical and wellness offerings, a broad array of amenities, and a staff that leaves positive impressions. The facility's scale and range of options—multiple dining venues, robust activities, rehab and fitness facilities, hobby spaces, and housing choices—are major selling points. The primary caveats are cost and occasional remarks about smaller room sizes and the presentation of takeout meals. Prospective residents and families who prioritize comprehensive services, numerous on-site amenities, and long-term care security are likely to view The Glebe very favorably; those with tighter budgets or who prioritize larger in-unit living space may want to probe pricing and floor plans more closely during tours.

    About The Glebe

The Glebe sits up in the hills and, for a long time, folks have known it as a verified provider with a strong 5.0 rating, so people seem happy there, and what they offer covers almost anything you'd expect at a senior living place-active adult living, assisted living, memory care in their Chaplick Center, skilled nursing, and even hospice care for those who need it. They keep their services Medicare and Medicaid certified, so if a resident needs to stay for the long haul or needs short-term rehab between the hospital and home, the nursing staff can handle that. People can pick between apartments or cottages for independent living, and they let you have pets, which is nice if you're used to having a companion around.

The dining's full-service and they do housework and keep up with maintenance and the gardens, so folks don't have to worry about the chores. There's a 24-hour call system in place, and they help with needs like bathing, dressing, medication, and moving around, so someone's always available. Their memory care is secure and supervised, with programs supporting people with dementia, and the Chaplick Center stands out by really focusing on keeping residents engaged. Their Lifecare plan covers people for life, so once you move into an apartment or cottage, you can stay as long as you need, and their continuum of care means you don't have to move again when needs change.

People seem to benefit from activities for the mind, body, and spirit, whether you want to join in movies, art, or just walk the paths. They have an activities calendar, a garden, barber and salon services, a dining room, and even an arts room. Housekeeping and laundry are managed. Folks with special dietary needs-like diabetes or allergies-get meals that match their doctor's advice. Every room can be furnished or not, depending on what someone prefers, and they all have phones. As a non-profit, The Glebe tries to support community life, letting residents do their own activities if they want, and families can tour the facility with staff to get a feel for things.

If someone needs help selling a current home, there's a Zillow Showcase listing available that might help boost their sale price, and they can get pre-qualified with Zillow Home Loans. All in all, the place serves a wide range of needs, from everyday independence to serious health care, and the care plans flex as individual needs change. Families can check out maps, photos, prices, and ratings online, and message the staff for any more information. The Glebe supports seniors wanting a worry-free, active life with plenty of support as they get older, and folks seem glad for the choices they can make along the way.
