    Spotless welcoming convenient senior living

I live here and couldn't be happier - the beautiful, brand-new, all-on-one-level facility is spotlessly clean with spacious studio, one- and two-bedroom options (two baths in the 2BR) and low rent that even includes utilities. Amber D made leasing effortless and went above and beyond; staff are attentive and friendly, the on-site chef and large dining room with a grand piano serve weekday meals, and common areas include a big TV, easy-to-use gym, Bingo, puzzles, and regular outings (Fantasy of Lights). Practical perks like outside entrances plus indoor hallways, emergency monitors, biweekly housekeeping, mail access, garbage pickup, and transportation to doctors/Walmart make daily life convenient and social.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews of The Retreat at Leisure Living are overwhelmingly positive, emphasizing a clean, well-maintained, newly built facility with a strong social atmosphere, plentiful services included in rent, helpful staff, and a range of apartment options. Reviewers repeatedly highlight the facility’s resort- or country-club-like ambiance, combined with practical conveniences and safety features that appeal to seniors seeking an active yet comfortable living environment.

Care quality and safety: While these summaries do not get into detailed clinical care or health-services minutiae, several safety- and quality-related features are consistently mentioned. Emergency monitors are in place, signaling attention to resident safety. Biweekly housekeeping, garbage pickup, and utilities included in rent suggest a low-maintenance living experience designed to reduce day-to-day burdens on residents. Transportation services to medical appointments and shopping (doctors and Walmart) are explicitly provided, which supports independence and access to outside care.

Staff and management: Staff performance is a clear strength in the reviews. Descriptions such as attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful are recurrent. The leasing and management process also receives praise — an individual staff member, Amber D, is singled out as having gone above and beyond during leasing, and reviewers describe the leasing experience as helpful and leaving a highly positive impression. This points to responsive, customer-focused front-line staff and a leasing/management team that makes move-in and orientation easier for prospective residents.

Facilities and apartments: The physical plant is described as beautiful, new, and very clean. The one-level layout is noted multiple times, which is a strong advantage for mobility-limited residents. Apartment variety includes studios, one-bedroom, and spacious two-bedroom units; reviewers specifically note that the two-bedroom apartments include two bathrooms. The community offers both indoor hallways/rooms and some units with outside entrances. Common spaces include a large dining area (with a grand piano), a big TV for group viewing, and general common areas that contribute to the social feel. The presence of an easy-to-use gym and exercise area indicates attention to residents’ fitness needs.

Dining and housekeeping: Dining is a highlight — an on-site chef, meals provided during the week, and specific praise for delicious snacks and a marvelous lunch at an open house are mentioned. The dining room’s size and ambiance (grand piano, country club feel) add to the perception of a higher-end dining experience. Housekeeping twice a month and garbage pickup are included services, reducing resident chores and contributing to the facility’s consistently clean appearance cited by multiple reviewers.

Activities and social life: Reviewers emphasize a vibrant activity schedule and a strong social component. Regular on-site activities include puzzles, Bingo, and conversation groups, while organized community outings and trips (specifically the Fantasy of Lights trip) demonstrate active event planning and engagement with off-site experiences. These offerings support both cognitive engagement and socialization, reinforcing the facility’s depiction as lively and community-oriented.

Costs and value: Several summaries note low rents and the inclusion of utilities, which reviewers interpret as good value. Combined with included services (meals, transportation, housekeeping), the financial picture presented in the reviews is favorable. However, the summaries do not provide specific pricing details or comparisons, only the general impression that rents are low and value is strong.

Notable patterns and gaps: The dominant patterns are consistent praise for cleanliness, staff attentiveness, social programming, included services, and the quality of communal spaces and dining. The reviews repeatedly describe a luxurious, country-club-like atmosphere paired with practical amenities for seniors. What is not present in the summaries are detailed accounts of medical or nursing care levels, specific resident health outcomes, wait times, or any significant complaints about policies, noise, or billing. In short, there are no recurring negative comments in the summaries provided.

Conclusion and recommendations: Based on these reviews, The Retreat at Leisure Living appears well suited for seniors who prioritize social engagement, a staffed and clean environment, inclusive services (meals, utilities, housekeeping, transportation), and either independent or lightly assisted living without detailed mention of intensive medical care. Prospective residents should be encouraged by the positive reports about staff and community life, but if medical or highly specialized care is a requirement, they should inquire directly about clinical services, staffing ratios, and emergency medical response protocols, since those specifics are not covered in the summaries. Otherwise, the facility's strengths—cleanliness, strong dining and activities programming, helpful staff, and perceived value—are consistently affirmed across the reviews.
