    Spacious affordable building with amenities

I moved in after a well-run tour and I'm overall impressed. My apartment felt spacious; the building has elevator access, on-floor laundry, clean stairs, a reading room, heated indoor pool (limited hours), gym, pool table, TV room and secure key-fob entry-utilities are included (cable extra). Pets are allowed (up to 2, 25 lb, $325 non-refundable each), public transit is nearby, Point Lookout is close for fishing, activities have been minimal since COVID, it's affordable and the best/only option here, and I would recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the collected reviews is generally positive, with residents and visitors emphasizing affordability, a clean and secure building, and a number of useful on-site amenities. Multiple reviewers noted a favorable first impression from tours and described management or staff as running the property well. The complex is described as a practical, value-oriented option for seniors in the area, and several reviewers explicitly said they would recommend the community to others.

Facilities are a clear strength. The building offers elevator access, on-floor laundry, and stairwells that are kept clean. Common areas include a reading room, a TV room, a pool table, and a fitness area, giving residents multiple low-key recreation choices. The indoor pool is heated, which is appreciated, though several reviewers pointed out that pool hours are limited. Secure entry via key fob is frequently mentioned, contributing to a sense of safety. Location advantages noted include proximity to public transportation (though it may cost) and being near Point Lookout, which residents mentioned as convenient for fishing outings.

Apartment-related feedback is mixed. Some reviews describe apartments as spacious, while at least one review explicitly states the apartments are too small—this indicates variability in unit size or differing expectations among residents. Utilities are included in rent, which many reviewers list as a positive; however, cable is charged separately. Pet policy is permissive in that up to two pets are allowed (25 lb limit), but the financial terms—specifically a $325 non-refundable deposit per pet—were called out as a downside by reviewers.

Activities and programming appear to be a weak spot or at least a temporarily suspended service. Multiple summaries say there are no current activities, noting this status in the context of pre-COVID conditions; occasional offsite or visiting events such as a Masonic Lodge buffet were mentioned, but regular on-site activities do not seem robust. This can affect social opportunities for residents who expect scheduled programming. Dining options on-site were not highlighted beyond occasional external visits, suggesting limited meal or communal dining services within the building itself.

Management and operations receive mostly favorable mentions: tours left people impressed and reviewers characterized the property as well-run. The combination of included utilities, building cleanliness, and security measures supports that perception. Notable concerns that recur are the limited pool hours, suspension or lack of regular activities, mixed opinions on apartment sizes, and distance to certain community resources such as places of worship. Residents also weighed the trade-offs of affordability against these limitations; for some, the property's price and availability make it the best or only realistic option.

In summary, Lexington Park Senior Apartments presents as an affordable, well-managed senior housing option with solid basic amenities—clean common areas, a heated indoor pool (with restricted hours), fitness and social spaces, secure access, and included utilities. Key trade-offs to consider are potentially limited activity programming (especially if pandemic-related suspensions continue), mixed unit-size experiences, separate cable costs, and pet-related fees. Prospective residents who prioritize cost, security, and basic on-site amenities will likely find this community attractive; those seeking extensive organized activities, more dining options, or larger units should investigate current programming and specific unit layouts during a tour.
