    About Cedar Street Commons

Cedar Street Commons has an adult apartment community for people age 62 and older who want a simple, maintenance-free life without assisted care, and these apartments have recently been renovated so now they've got stainless steel appliances like refrigerators and stoves, microwaves, stone countertops, dishwashers, in-unit washers and dryers, and air conditioning, plus you get your own thermostat. There's internet in each unit and high-speed internet is included in the utilities, and the buildings all have fire sprinklers, medical emergency alert buttons, and audio alarms for smoke and fire, and for security there's a gated entry to the property, though there aren't any parking facilities right on site so that might matter to some folks. The place lets you have up to two pets per household-dogs and cats both, with fees of $50 per cat and $250 per dog, but they've got some breed and weight rules you'll want to ask about if you've got a bigger dog or one that's a bit unusual. There are a lot of community features like a clubhouse, a modern gym, a recreation room, community rooms, and a fully stocked library, and you can join group exercise and balance classes led by YMCA staff three times a week if you want to keep active. For social activities, they've got game nights three times a week and craft classes twice a month, and people really do use that clubhouse for gatherings. There's also a complimentary bus that goes to local venues and for shopping trips three times a week, which helps since you need transportation for errands. They've got 24-hour emergency maintenance, and they'll fix things any time, day or night, if there's a problem. The staff likes to focus on healthy, good-tasting meals made by chefs and meal planners. Cedar Street Commons is pet friendly, allows both small and large dogs and cats (with those rules mentioned earlier), and focuses on making things easy for independent seniors who want peace of mind, nice amenities, and no fuss about home upkeep, and while they offer several levels of senior care across their properties, this particular part is strictly for folks who don't need assisted living, so that's something to keep in mind if you need help with daily activities.
