    About Xanadu at Wall

Xanadu at Wall is a 55+ active adult community built in 2006 consisting of single-story, end-unit condominiums with open floor plans, so you can move around easily without bumping into things, and they've got those high 9-foot ceilings which really make the rooms feel bigger, and each unit here has two spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms, with a den or home office that closes off with a glass panel door for privacy if you need to get paperwork done, plus there's a private balcony about 80 square feet overlooking a nice park-like setting, so you can sit and just watch the seasons change or listen to the birds, and there's a good deal of storage in these units because the primary bedroom has two closets, while the guest bedroom comes with a large walk-in closet, and you'll find a laundry room with extra storage too, along with a pantry and a spacious hallway closet, plus down in the underground garage you get your own assigned parking spot and not one but two extra storage cages, which is handy for holiday decorations or tools, and they recently put in a new hot water heater in 2017 and a new HVAC compressor in 2015, so those are up to date, and everything runs on forced air heat and central air for cooling, with natural gas for the hot water, and all the modern appliances are here like the dishwasher, refrigerator-freezer, stove, microwave, washer, and dryer, while the flooring's a simple mix of carpet and laminate which is easy to clean and soft on the feet, and while these units don't come with a basement you do get a master on the main level with all the living space on one floor, and the whole community is managed by an HOA that handles a lot for a monthly fee of $440.

The clubhouse really gives folks a lot to do, offering billiard, card, and TV rooms if you want to spend time with neighbors inside, and a big great room with a fireplace when it gets colder and you want to read a book or visit, and there's a library if you prefer some quiet or just need to borrow a book for a rainy day, with restrooms that include lockers and showers right there for convenience after a workout or swim, because there's also a fitness center if you want to lift weights or work on a treadmill, and if you like to swim but don't care for cold water, they do have a heated saline water pool outside that's easy on the skin, plus bocce courts and some gazebos and benches scattered around the property for those who like fresh air and watching the world go by, and to make gatherings easier, the clubhouse kitchen is outfitted for private parties and has all the necessary appliances like a dishwasher, large refrigerator, and microwave, so events and potlucks are common, especially on open house days which are sometimes held on weekends, and being pet-friendly helps folks not have to give up beloved pets to move here.

Xanadu at Wall goes beyond just homes and offers services that help older adults keep living their own way for as long as possible, so there's non-ambulatory care and help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, medication reminders, and someone's always on hand with a 24-hour call system, so residents can feel a little safer and their families can rest a little easier, and for those who want social activity or a busy calendar, the staff and the residents themselves organize a wide range of activities including outdoor programs, fitness classes, arts, movies, games, music, and walking paths, and there's also a community room for group get-togethers, movie nights, and crafts, and the community gives help with meals with a dining room, restaurant-style dining, and a professional chef making all-day meals, plus allergy-sensitive options, and folks can also request housekeeping, laundry service or dry cleaning, concierge help, and even move-in coordination, which can make big changes easier on everyone, and although each place is different, Xanadu at Wall centers on simple living, safety, storage, and chances to connect, all in one place with park-like views and senior-friendly design.
