    Excellent nursing and rehab; recommended

I was very pleased with Broadmeadow - my mom received attentive, on-point nursing and excellent rehab/PT care, and the staff were proactive and communicative. The facility is clean, updated, beautifully kept with convenient drop-off, lovely rooms, allowed visits and phenomenal food. I'd happily recommend it to a friend, with just a couple small therapy enhancements I'd like to see.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews of Cadia Rehabilitation Broadmeadow present a mixed picture. Many families and residents praise the facility’s physical environment—clean, updated, and pleasant—with attractive private rooms, a convenient lobby drop-off, and cheerful common areas. The facility is also frequently commended for its rehabilitation program: several accounts note strong physical-therapy services, attentive rehab staff, and positive functional improvements for residents. Nursing staff and proactive outreach to families receive positive mentions in a number of reviews.

At the same time, a subset of reviews raises serious operational concerns. The most consistent negative themes relate to variability in staff responsiveness and gaps in clinical monitoring. Some families describe delays in attending to basic needs, inconsistencies in incontinence-care and bedside hygiene, and instances that suggest weaknesses in medication-management processes, including use of sedative medications. There are also reports indicating fall events and subsequent hospital readmissions, which point to possible opportunities to strengthen transfer- and fall-prevention protocols.

Dining and daily-care experiences appear inconsistent. Several reviewers praise the food quality, while others note missed meals or food left unattended; these accounts suggest uneven meal-service continuity and hydration oversight. Activity offerings and common-area amenities were described as limited in some reports (for example, no TV in a communal space), which may affect resident engagement for those seeking more programming.

Administrative and management areas show mixed performance. Some families appreciated proactive staff communication, but others experienced difficulties at discharge—particularly around medication reconciliation and coordination with home providers or pharmacies (examples included challenges with anticoagulation management). Cost and insurance coverage also emerged as a practical concern for some families, with out-of-pocket expense cited as burdensome.

Overall, Cadia Broadmeadow demonstrates strengths in facility maintenance, rehabilitation services, and certain elements of nursing care, but reviewers describe important inconsistencies in responsiveness, clinical oversight, meal continuity, and activity offerings. Prospective residents and families should consider visiting in person, asking specific questions about staffing ratios, fall-prevention protocols, medication reconciliation procedures at admission and discharge, meal schedules and hydration monitoring, activity programming, and how the facility manages insurance and billing. These areas of inquiry can help clarify whether the facility’s strengths align with an individual’s clinical and social needs.
