    About Cadia Rehabilitation Renaissance

Cadia Rehabilitation Renaissance sits at 26002 John J Williams Highway in Millsboro, Delaware, right in Sussex County just minutes from Rehoboth Beach, and the place has 130 certified beds and takes care of a lot of different health needs, with skilled nursing, high acuity care, medication management, incontinence care, non-ambulatory care, specialized memory care in a secure unit, skilled wound care, feeding tube and ostomy care, CHF and COPD management, diabetes care, stroke recovery, dementia care, catheter care, and also offers hospice and palliative services, while providing rehabilitation services using physical, occupational, and speech therapy with deep heat and multiple pain reduction options, as well as therapy using computerized exercise cycles, nerve and muscle stimulation, video swallowing assessment, augmented communication systems, and even some virtual reality therapy, and there's always a registered dietitian on site making custom meal programs, with restaurant-style dining and chef-inspired entrees so people can get nutrition that fits their needs, and although the staff is called wonderful, anyone can see there's a high nurse turnover rate at 68% and nurses put in about 3.65 hours per resident per day, which is below the Delaware average, and the place isn't accepting new patients right now. The owners are Schafer Family LLC and Silver Holdings LLC, each with half the ownership, and the place is run for profit, and management changed in December 2024 to Elizabeth Price and Laura Dittmar, with Onix Group LLC involved since 2017 and Long Term Care Corp since 2008, and the ownership has some trusts for family members. The place had a standard inspection on September 19, 2024, showing 16 new deficiencies, including one around infection control, and overall there are 43 reported deficiencies, with two tied to infections, and past citations included an administration deficiency about not informing people of their arbitration rights and a residents' rights deficiency around dignity and communication, so there's some room for improvement. Rooms are described as large and semi-private, every room has a television, there's free Wi-Fi and good internet, and there's ample parking for visitors. Staff speak English and some other languages, and there's help with touring, admissions, and supporting current patients. The building also offers a virtual tour online. The rehabilitation program is personalized for each patient, and the care team includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, medical directors, nurse practitioners, and consulting specialty doctors, and care transitions and discharge planning start at admission so there's a focus on timely and safe transitions home. There's a memory care program for people with dementia and a variety of features aimed at supporting recovery and daily life, though the full list of amenities isn't specified.
