    About Keiro Northwest

Keiro Northwest sits at 1601 E Yesler Way in Seattle and has 150 beds for seniors who need nursing care, and it runs as a licensed Skilled Nursing Facility and Nursing Facility with license number 679, and that's what lets them provide services covered by both Medicaid/Medi-Cal and Medicare, which is something important for families watching costs, and they operate as a 501c(3) non-profit with a longstanding history serving the Asian-Pacific Islander community and anyone needing culturally sensitive care, and when you walk in you'll see they focus on trust, respect, and compassion so people there feel safe and comfortable. Folks have noticed over the years that Keiro Northwest has done more than just run a rehab and care center-they've had an entire network with Nikkei Manor for assisted living, Kokoro Kai for adult day activities, Nikkei Horizons for learning and travel, as well as programs for home care, transportation, and even catering, and with all these services they really have tried to give elders a way to keep their independence and well-being no matter what kind of help they needed, and they've even had staff for home care who are certified and follow safety rules to take care of people who want to stay in their own homes. But things always change, so this year they're phasing out the Keiro Rehabilitation and Care Center, Nikkei Horizons, Home Care, Transportation Services, and Catering by the end of the year, yet they'll keep running Nikkei Manor and Kokoro Kai for now, and they've set up an outplacement program to support the staff affected by the changes, showing they remember their people even in tough times. The facility is open every day from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, and their approach has always been to offer services and programs that fit each person's needs, from inpatient nursing to rehabilitation, senior activities, and meals, making sure folks have help both inside the facility and at home, and while changes keep coming, they've held onto their aim to serve older adults and their families with a caring, steady hand in the Seattle area.
