Morningside of Auburn offers several levels of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care for Alzheimer's and dementia, and skilled nursing care, all in a single community, and families can choose between studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans, some with full kitchens or kitchenettes, and the campus includes a gated setting with walking paths, a pond, a lake, gardens, a gazebo, and both outdoor and indoor heated pools, plus a dog park for the pets allowed by their pet-friendly policy. The community has many places where people can sit and relax, like cozy sitting rooms and sunrooms, porches, a library, an activity studio, a card and game room, and a movie theater where movie nights are held, along with a beauty salon/barbershop, computer workstations, and a bar and cocktail lounge for happy hour. Residents get different meal plans through the MyChoice Dining Program, which includes chef-prepared meals with either one, two, or three meals a day, served in elegant or care-focused dining rooms or in the private dining room, and complimentary breakfast comes included with some services too. Staff helps with personal care, laundry, medication management, wellness checks, and daily tasks, and there's a team of caregivers and aides always around for support and to offer companionship as part of both in-house and home care services. Social, educational, and recreational events fill the calendar, with regular exercise and fitness classes, art and music programs, community volunteer opportunities, religious services in the chapel, outings, trips, and group clubs, all designed to make seniors feel engaged, included, and active. The grounds have covered and open parking for residents, and the community offers scheduled transportation to local places. Every apartment has emergency call response systems, Wi-Fi/high-speed internet, basic cable or satellite TV service, and house-keeping is included. Respite care is available through short-term stays, giving caregivers relief, and the special memory care program has a secure, individualized environment for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, focused on safety and routine. Morningside of Auburn holds awards for dining, activities, and friendly staff, and its ongoing licensing ensures compliance with state rules. The staff puts effort into being helpful, joyful, and kind, and the Five Star Lifestyle and Life Enrichment programs focus on making each resident comfortable, offering things like pet therapy, concierge services, fitness centers, and rehab services. The whole community is designed on one floor, which makes getting around easy for everyone, including those who use mobility aids, and there are places for prayer, socializing, movies, reading, and games, plus several outdoor leisure spots like the pool, park, gazebo, and community gardens, and with options for both men and women, Morningside of Auburn has built a place where privacy, security, and a wide range of services and amenities are always kept in mind for anyone looking for a supportive, active retirement community.
Caring staff, clean facility, recommended
I moved my mother here and overall we're very happy. The staff are professional, caring and welcoming - they treat residents like family and join in activities; housekeeping is attentive and the facility is clean, modern and beautifully landscaped. There are lots of activities, transportation, a comfortable room with kitchenette, and generally good food (though breakfast can be early/limited and meals are occasionally overcooked). Staffing turnover and some administrative/billing bumps are real, but caregivers do their best; my mom is safe, engaged and I would recommend this community.
