    Individualized compassionate care, clean facility

I was admitted after a car accident and the attentive, kind, professional staff-doctors, nurses and CNAs-gave me individualized, compassionate care. The facility is clean, home-like and well-maintained (older buildings), pleasantly scented, conveniently located with a good selection of items at decent prices. I'm very grateful and pleased with the excellent care.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews for Dadeville Health Care Center are overwhelmingly positive. Multiple reviewers repeatedly praise the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and the warm, home-like atmosphere. Comments emphasize that residents are well cared for, visitors feel grateful for the staff’s attentiveness, and the facility leaves a generally excellent first and ongoing impression.

Care quality and clinical staff: Reviewers explicitly mention good doctors and nurses and repeatedly call out the CNAs and other frontline staff as friendly, attentive, and caring. Several comments indicate that loved ones are well looked after and that staff provide individual attention. One review specifically notes assistance from the head administrator, which supports a perception of engaged leadership and responsive management when concerns arise.

Staff and management culture: The dominant theme is a professional, compassionate workforce. Descriptors such as helpful, kind, professional, and sweet recur throughout the summaries. The management appears accessible — the presence of the head administrator in helping a family member was noted — and the environment is described as heartwarming with positive interactions between staff and residents. Reviewers express gratitude and satisfaction, suggesting consistent staff performance and strong interpersonal care.

Facilities and environment: Physical spaces are described as clean and well-maintained, with multiple mentions of pleasant smells and tidy bathrooms and rooms. The facility projects a warm, relaxed, and home-like impression, contributing to comfort for residents and visitors. A recurrent caveat is that the buildings are older or dated; however, despite age, upkeep and cleanliness are highlighted as strengths, so the age does not appear to materially detract from the positive resident experience in reviewers’ accounts.

Activities, residents, and community feel: Reviewers note a friendly resident population with engaging life stories and positive interactions. The atmosphere is characterized as heartwarming and social, indicating that non-clinical aspects of living (conversation, companionship, environment) are meaningful strengths. There are also mentions of convenience and a good selection of items at reasonable prices (likely referring to on-site shops or supplies), which can enhance daily life for residents and families.

Gaps, limitations, and notable mentions: The only clear facility-related negative mentioned is the older/dated nature of the buildings; otherwise, explicit complaints are minimal to nonexistent. One reviewer described being admitted after a car accident and referenced the external traumatic circumstances and the driver’s legal outcome — this is not a criticism of the facility itself, but it was part of a reviewer’s experience. The reviews do not provide much detail on some operational aspects such as dining quality, therapy/recreational program specifics, staffing ratios, or clinical outcomes beyond general praise. This uniform positivity suggests strong satisfaction but also indicates limited critical detail in the sample.

Conclusion and considerations: In summary, Dadeville Health Care Center is consistently portrayed as a clean, well-run, compassionate facility with strong, attentive staff and a warm, home-like environment. The primary facility-related concern is that the buildings are older, though well-maintained. Given the uniformly positive reviews, prospective families may want to supplement these impressions with a tour focused on the state of the physical plant, specifics about therapy and activities, dining, and staffing levels to address areas not covered in the provided summaries.

    About Dadeville Health Care Center

Dadeville Health Care Center is a 144-bed, state-licensed skilled nursing facility that's been serving seniors in Tallapoosa County and the Lake Martin region since 1966, and you'll find it in a historic building with the administrative offices right in the old Tallapoosa County High School built back in 1908. The place has secure areas, locked and code-protected doors, and 24-hour supervision that help keep residents safe from wandering or getting lost, which is important for those needing a lot of support. Nurses and staff are on duty day and night, handling care for both short-term rehab stays and long-term residents, using care plans worked out with families, doctors, and the residents themselves so everyone gets the help that suits their needs best, whether it's bathing, mobility support, medication management, or managing more complex health problems like wounds, diabetes, or incontinence, and they make sure there's always someone to talk to or answer questions.

Residents can choose private or shared rooms, all ground-level, many with kitchenettes, private bathrooms, air-conditioning, and access to phone, cable, and internet, so people can stay in touch with family and friends as much as possible, and there are both fully furnished and flexible options for personal touches. Housekeeping and linen service are included, and meals use organic and nutritious ingredients, with chefs and dieticians on staff to help plan meals for different dietary needs, even therapeutic diets, while snacks are also available for those who need or want them. There's a strong focus on daily life, so staff help with dressing, bathing, getting to meals, and moving around safely, plus arranging transportation for medical appointments or letting friends and family visit any time, even though they recommend coming between 8 am and 5 pm, and they make it easy for loved ones to join meals or activities. The building has safe outdoor space, gardens, communal dining, activity rooms, a small library, and spaces for fitness, games, and social gatherings, including a beauty salon, barbershop, and computer center.

The Activity Director keeps a busy schedule, so residents can join outings to restaurants, trips to the city or countryside, and annual traditions like fishing from May to October, a Christmas lights ride to Calloway Gardens, visits to the zoo or for Blue Bell ice cream, a spring beauty pageant, a fall carnival, and trips to the Alabama State Fair, with a volunteer program drawing people of all ages from the community. Spiritual needs get attention, too, with devotional activities, and there are mental wellness programs to support emotional health alongside regular therapy services like physical, occupational, and speech therapy-plus on-site x-ray, podiatry, and vision care.

The community uses a 24-hour call system and has a designated and monitored smoking area. The environment feels homelike, focusing on dignity and comfort, so everyone can feel respected and included, no matter their health needs. Dadeville Health Care Center supports both hospice and respite care, has specialists for high-acuity cases, and collaborates with the resident, family, and a medical director to tailor each person's plan of care, aiming for a good quality of life. The center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care insurance, and private pay, and operates as a Prime Management, LLC Healthcare Center, belonging to the American Health Care Association, Alabama Nursing Home Association, and Dadeville Area Chamber of Commerce. Office hours run from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, but nurses handle all care needs around the clock.
