    Supportive caring staff, peaceful environment

I'm grateful for the wonderful, kind, professional staff who treated my mom like family-Administrator Pat was supportive and always available. My mom stayed four years, thrived in activities (dancing, art, piano/singing), loved the meals and porch, and felt safe in a clean, well-kept, peaceful memory-care environment. The caring, experienced team gave us real peace of mind and I highly recommend it. My only caveat: it can be noisy at times and staffing to get residents outdoors seemed limited.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize compassionate, family-like care delivered in a small, intimate community. The dominant theme is staff excellence: caregivers, nurses, and administrators are described as kind, loving, professional, and attentive. Multiple comments note that staff know residents well, treat them like family, and provide peace of mind to relatives. Several reviewers specifically called out the administrator (Pat) and the availability of management, which reinforces a perception of engaged leadership.

Care quality emerges as a consistent strength. Reviews describe a high level of clinical and daily care, with procedures being followed and transparency when incidents occur. Families report that their loved ones are well cared for, thrive in the environment, and often enjoy long stays — one reviewer explicitly cited a four-year residency with great memories. The memory care environment is repeatedly characterized as safe, loving, and stable, which is central to the facility’s appeal for relatives seeking specialized care.

Activities and social engagement are highlighted across multiple reviews. The facility offers a variety of daily and ramped-up activities such as dancing, art projects, piano visits that lead to resident singing, and other group events that foster socialization. Meals are noted positively — residents reportedly like the food and use mealtimes as opportunities to socialize. These recreational and dining elements contribute to residents’ enjoyment and the home-like, family atmosphere many reviewers describe.

Facility and grounds receive consistent praise for cleanliness and upkeep. Reviewers describe the building as neat and well-kept with beautiful grounds and a pleasant back porch with rocking chairs, creating a peaceful, quaint environment that feels home-like. The small scale of the community is frequently cited as an advantage because it supports more individualized attention and a close-knit, family-style atmosphere.

Management and communication are also strong themes. Several reviews commend the administration for being available and transparent, and they note staff willingness to communicate with families. This perceived openness, combined with procedural adherence, contributes to trust and satisfaction among family members.

Notable concerns are limited but worth mentioning. A few reviewers reported staffing limitations that affected the ability to take residents outdoors, and there were isolated mentions of noise. Additionally, a small number of reviewers only conducted one-time visits or offered hypothetical ratings rather than long-term experiences; such comments indicate that not all assessments were based on extended exposure to the community. These issues appear infrequent compared with the volume and consistency of positive feedback but should be considered by prospective families.

In summary, the reviews portray Country Place Memory Care of Greenville as a small, well-maintained memory care community with consistently praised, family-oriented staff, engaging activities, good food, and attentive management. The main areas for potential improvement are occasional staffing constraints for outdoor activities and intermittent noise; otherwise, reviews strongly recommend the community and emphasize long-term positive outcomes and peace of mind for families.

About Country Place Memory Care of Greenville

Country Place Memory Care of Greenville sits out among the country lanes, rolling fields, and peaceful forested hills of southern Alabama, right in Greenville, AL, and only a few minutes' drive from local shops and restaurants, so folks who visit don't have to worry about being far from town. This facility holds 16 beds and has different types of assisted living, memory care, and board and care home services, depending on what each resident needs. The building offers both studio and one-bedroom units that come with basic appliances, phone lines, comfortable furniture, and layouts that are simple to move around in, especially if someone's having trouble with walking or balance. The grounds include gardens, walking trails, paved paths for strolling, rocking chairs on porches out back, and spots where people can just sit and enjoy the fresh air.

The staff set up individual care plans for each resident and are trained to support people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. They've got licensed nurses on call 24 hours and certified staff around the clock, and they pay attention to things like medication management, physical therapy, bathing, dressing, help with meals, fall prevention, transfers, and everyday mobility. Residents get three meals a day with snacks, and the menu includes plenty of options for special diets, whether that means diabetes-friendly, allergy-sensitive, or just home-style cooking with familiar, good-quality ingredients. There's a supervised and secured environment, including Touch Pad Exits and emergency response systems, so family members can worry less about safety and wandering.

Round the community, there are places like a dining hall with small tables, a communal kitchen, a chapel, a cozy library, a games room for bingo and cards, a fitness area with group classes, a beauty and nail salon, and a brick fireplace in a shared living area. There's even a baby grand piano in the foyer if someone feels up to making some music. They run lots of daily activities for cognitive and social engagement, from arts and crafts to movie nights, Bible studies, music sessions, computer classes, clubs, walking groups, and monthly special events. The staff try to keep everyone active, involved, and connected with a regular calendar that changes by the season. Families can also come for support or counseling when needed, and there are plans for mild cognitive impairment, dementia, transfers, and non-ambulatory care-even waivers for hospice or advanced memory needs.

Every resident gets regular health assessments from a registered nurse, scheduled transportation to appointments or outings, weekly housekeeping and laundry, and a safe, tidy space to call their own. The facility has pet-friendly areas, parking for visitors, case management for coordinating with doctors and hospitals, and all utilities except phone are covered. There are three main levels of care, each with different supports, from basic reminders and social programs to more involved medical help and daily assistance with bathing, eating, and mobility.

In this small, homey community, the staff have built a reputation for being helpful, cheerful, and kind, and the place tends to feel less like an institution and more like a home for those living with memory loss. Residents stay busy with everything from games and creative activities to fitness classes and quiet time in the garden, and there are always people around to lend a helping hand or just listen if someone needs company.
