    Clean welcoming facility; staffing concerns

I toured this facility and loved the clean, welcoming, home-like feel, private rooms with bathrooms and closets, and activities like bingo, games, a treadmill area and outdoor basketball. Staff I met were personable and caring, menus accommodate dietary needs, and the place is well-kept and reasonably priced. My biggest concern: there's high staff turnover and instability - a red flag that makes me uncomfortable leaving my loved one here.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is mixed but leans positive in terms of the facility’s physical environment, amenities, and the demeanor of many staff members. Multiple reviewers describe Sunrise Manor as attractive, clean, well-kept, and welcoming, often noting a home-like feel. The facility offers private rooms with private bathrooms and closets, and reviewers repeatedly praise the cleanliness and upkeep. Pricing is described as very reasonable, suggesting good perceived value for the features available.

Staff and direct care impressions are a major positive theme: reviewers use words like personable, caring, and amazing to describe staff interactions. When staff are present, reviewers and residents appear satisfied with the attention and warmth they receive. However, this generally strong praise for individual caregivers is undercut by a second, recurring theme: staffing instability. Several reviews explicitly call out high staff turnover and indicate that staffing has been a red flag. That instability is serious enough that at least one reviewer said they felt uncomfortable leaving a loved one in the facility due to these issues. This introduces a clear tension between the quality of care when staffed well and concerns about continuity, reliability, and safety when staffing is inconsistent.

Facility amenities and activities are another consistent positive. Reviewers mention fitness options (a treadmill workout area) and outdoor recreation (basketball), as well as regular games and entertainment programs. Bingo is specifically noted as a resident favorite, pointing to successful social programming that engages people. Dining appears to be organized with menus and accommodations for dietary restrictions, which is important for clinical and quality-of-life reasons. Taken together, the physical environment, amenities, and recreational offerings create a supportive, home-like atmosphere for residents.

Management and operational concerns center primarily on workforce stability. High turnover and staffing instability are cited explicitly and framed as a significant drawback — not just an administrative complaint but a practical concern about day-to-day care and family peace of mind. While reviewers praise individual staff members, the pattern of turnover raises questions about consistency of caregivers, institutional knowledge about residents’ needs, and potential gaps in coverage. These points suggest prospective families should investigate staffing levels, turnover rates, and the facility’s strategies for recruitment and retention before making a placement decision.

In summary, the reviews portray Sunrise Manor as a clean, attractive, and amenity-rich facility with many staff who are caring and personable and programming that residents enjoy. The strongest negative pattern is staffing instability and high turnover, which undermines confidence in the consistency and reliability of care. For prospective residents and families, the trade-off appears to be good facilities, programs, and individualized interactions when staffing is sufficient versus real concerns about continuity and dependability when staff are changing frequently. It would be prudent for interested parties to visit, ask specific questions about current staffing levels and turnover, observe shift changes, and request references or satisfaction metrics to determine whether the staffing issues are being actively addressed.
