    Excellent rehab compassionate dementia care

I placed my great-grandmother at Keller Landing and have been very pleased - the admissions process was easy and quick, and their rehab and long-term services are top notch. The staff (Amber Black and many others) are professional, knowledgeable, genuinely caring, and excellent with Alzheimer's/dementia care; the facility is clean, welcoming, and respectful of residents. Overall I'm very satisfied and would recommend Keller Landing for compassionate, capable senior care.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Keller Landing is described predominantly as a compassionate, community-oriented skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility with particular strengths in Alzheimer’s and dementia care and in short-term rehabilitation. Reviewers consistently highlight staff behaviors—caregivers, nurses, therapists, and administrative personnel—as a key strength: interactions are described as respectful, family-like, and knowledgeable. Rehabilitation and physical-therapy services are frequently singled out as high-quality, and many accounts emphasize thoughtful, personalized attention that supports resident comfort and mobility goals.

Care and staff: The caregiving culture is the most commonly cited positive. Families and visitors describe staff as kind, attentive, and experienced with memory-care needs. Nursing and therapy teams are portrayed as competent and responsive, and staff are frequently characterized as treating residents with dignity. At the same time, a small number of reviewers raised strong concerns about safety and responsiveness; these comments stand in contrast to the majority and suggest prospective families should verify current staffing levels, emergency-response protocols, and incident-resolution processes during tours.

Dining and activities: Dining receives favorable comments for food quality and the facility’s willingness to accommodate preferences. Recreational programming and the availability of an activities room and outdoor spaces are recurring positives; reviewers note that activities are engaging and visitation is facilitated in a welcoming environment. These elements support socialization and family involvement, which reviewers associate with better resident well-being.

Facilities and maintenance: Many reviews describe clean, well-kept common areas, but there are recurring operational concerns about the physical plant. The building is characterized as older, with cosmetic maintenance needs such as dented walls and repainting. Related to upkeep, reviewers also noted sanitation and pest-control concerns in some areas. These observations point to variability in housekeeping and facilities maintenance rather than a uniform condition across the campus.

Management and operations: Administrative and business-office staff receive positive mentions for being helpful and accessible, and intake/placement processes are described as straightforward by several accounts. Nonetheless, there are isolated comments indicating occasional communication lapses or inconsistent administrative follow-through. Combined with the maintenance and responsiveness items above, these suggest variability in day-to-day operational consistency.

Notable patterns and practical advice: The dominant pattern in the reviews is strong, person-centered caregiving and a reputation for dementia expertise and rehabilitation services. Counterbalancing that are facility-level operational issues — aging infrastructure, intermittent housekeeping and pest-control gaps, and occasional variability in responsiveness and communication. Prospective residents and families should prioritize in-person assessment of room and common-area cleanliness, ask about recent inspection or pest-control records, review staffing ratios and on-shift clinical coverage, and discuss care-communication protocols to ensure the facility’s current performance matches expectations.
