    Home-like facility with caring staff

I'm very pleased with my mom's care here - the cozy, home-like setting in a well-maintained older house and family-run, people-oriented staff make it feel personal. Her private room with bath, TV and easy chair is spotless and comfortable; meals are nourishing and home-made, and they celebrate birthdays and holidays. Management coordinates care with our family, visiting nurses/doctors stop by, and the staff are knowledgeable and genuinely caring - I'd recommend checking it out.

    Summary of reviews

Ana & David Assisted Living Home presents as a small, family-run residence with a strong emphasis on a home-like environment and personalized care. Reviewers consistently highlight respectful, friendly staff and managers who engage directly with families. The facility is described as clean and well maintained, with private rooms that include en-suite bathrooms and in-room seating and televisions. Housekeeping, a paved outdoor courtyard, and communal living spaces with a large-screen TV contribute to a domestic rather than institutional feel.

Care quality is frequently described as attentive and individualized. Families note coordination between staff and relatives and regular clinical visits from nurses and physicians, and some accounts emphasize that the level of care has helped avoid hospital readmissions. At the same time, there are indications that staffing competency and communication can vary; a few observers questioned aspects of staff professionalism or responsiveness. These comments suggest the importance of confirming staff training, scheduling, and supervision during a prospective visit.

Dining and social programming are often cited as strengths. Meals are characterized as home-made and nourishing, and the home maintains separate dining areas and celebration of birthdays and holidays. The presence of communal spaces and organized celebrations indicates available opportunities for social interaction. However, a few notes indicate that social engagement is not uniformly effective for every resident—particularly for individuals with greater cognitive impairment or communication challenges—so matching a resident’s social and cognitive needs to the home’s program is important.

Facilities and management reflect the small-home model: a cozy, older house converted for assisted living with family ownership and hands-on managers. That model supports personalized attention and value-based pricing but also implies limits in on-site clinical resources and capacity for high-acuity needs. Prospective residents and families should balance the benefits of a warm, home-like setting against the operational limitations that can accompany a smaller facility. Recommended due diligence includes touring the home during different shifts, asking about staff-to-resident ratios, dementia-care experience, activity and engagement plans, medication-management protocols, and how the facility coordinates with external clinicians and emergency services.
