    Compassionate small family style home

I placed my mom at Tabitha Stanciu's small, well-kept facility and was very pleased. The caring, certified staff and attentive owners communicate well and provided compassionate, professional care - private, handicap-equipped rooms, housekeeping and laundry, three home-cooked meals and snacks, weekly activities (manicures/nail painting), and excellent transportation and doctor coordination. She felt loved, comfortable, and supported through every step, and I would recommend this family-style home.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Legends Senior Living III presents as a small, well-kept assisted-living option that many families describe as clean, intimate, and staffed by caring, certified caregivers. The facility emphasizes a family-style environment, private accessible rooms, housekeeping and laundry services, and coordination of medical appointments. Several accounts praise the owners for being communicative and hands-on, and reviewers frequently cite compassionate interactions, personalized attention, and supportive transition and end-of-life care.

Care and staff: Care quality is described positively in many accounts, with caregivers characterized as attentive, compassionate, and professional. The facility's smaller scale appears to support extra attention and calming one-on-one interactions. However, there are contrasting observations about staff consistency: some families experienced lapses in caregiver checks and noted variable engagement or responsiveness from staff. Prospective families should ask about staffing ratios, caregiver rounding schedules, and how the facility manages weekend or short-staff situations.

Dining: Dining impressions are mixed. Multiple reviewers praised home-cooked, family-style meals and regular snacks; others raised concerns about meal quality and reliance on frozen or prepackaged items and described the food as less healthy. This suggests variability in day-to-day meal preparation or menu planning. Visitors should request sample menus, inquire about fresh-food sourcing, and clarify how dietary needs are accommodated.

Activities and social environment: The facility offers weekly activities and in-house programming, including personal-grooming services such as manicures and other social events that foster a loving, home-like atmosphere for many residents. The smaller size is often cited as a benefit for individualized attention and closer relationships between staff and residents. At the same time, a few perspectives described a less homey atmosphere or limited offerings, indicating that programming breadth may be constrained compared with larger communities.

Facilities and logistics: Physical amenities reported favorably include clean common areas, well-maintained rooms, handicap accessibility, and transportation to appointments. Coordination with therapists and appointment notifications are noted as strengths. Families considering the community should tour the space to assess atmosphere and accessibility for their loved one.

Management and policies: Owner involvement and communication are a frequently mentioned positive. Conversely, some reviewers perceived management decisions as cost-driven and raised issues about contract clarity, billing, and post-mortem refund policies. These are operational concerns rather than clinical praise or criticism, but they can materially affect family experience. Prospective residents should review contracts carefully, ask about billing and refund procedures, and clarify policies around transitions and end-of-life arrangements.

Notable pattern and recommendation: The dominant pattern is overall satisfaction with compassionate, personalized care in a small, clean setting, tempered by intermittent concerns about staff consistency, meal quality, and administrative transparency. Before making a placement decision, visitors should schedule an in-person tour, meet leadership and caregiving staff, sample a meal, review the contract line-by-line (including refund and billing policies), and ask specific questions about staffing patterns and caregiver check frequency to ensure the facility’s operational practices match family expectations.
