    Compassionate professional care, beautiful home

I'm so grateful I found this place - the owners and staff are genuinely compassionate, professional, and provide exceptional one-on-one, personalized care. The home is beautiful and upscale with fresh, homemade meals, tall ceilings/skylights, and a peaceful, park-like gated backyard that feels safe and private. Communication is easy, visitors are welcomed, hospice even called it the nicest place they'd seen, and I have total peace of mind - I highly recommend it.

    About The Oaks at Garfield

The Oaks at Garfield sits in Carmichael, California, inside a gated community with two big oak trees-one at the front, one at the back-that have been there about 150 years, really giving a sense of shelter and old shade when you walk up to the place. This is a licensed Residential Care Facility with the state license #342700050, and they focus on providing reliable care where respect, dignity, and privacy always matter for every resident. Folks who live here have private suites in a residential care home that feels quieter and more private than most larger facilities, which many seniors like when they want a calm setting and a smaller group of people around them. There's a caring and well-trained staff on hand day and night, making sure help is there with daily activities like bathing, dressing, medications, meals, mobility, and housekeeping, plus laundry too. The place is secured with gates, and families often like knowing it's a safe spot for residents who may need memory care or just a little extra supervision as the days go on. The home has walking paths and gardens with decorative cranes, large sitting oak trees, a swimming pool and hot tub when someone wants to relax outside, plus patios with wicker chairs where you might find a few neighbors talking in the afternoon. The kitchen's spacious with oak cabinets and granite counters, and there are big TVs in the living rooms and places for everyone to gather, share meals, or just watch a movie. There's always some activity either onsite or offsite-a dedicated staff organizes these, and it's important because it gives people something to look forward to every day, like community-sponsored events or trips out to nearby spots like Starbucks or the church or just taking a peaceful walk in the gardens. Religious and devotional services get offered for those who want or need them both on property and sometimes off. Meals are healthy, can be vegetarian or kosher if that's necessary, and snacks are always available, with the team making sure nutrition stays a priority. There's also a beautician for personal care on-site. Medication management and coordination with local healthcare providers, including Walnut Whitney Hospital and Rite Aid Pharmacy, help make healthcare simpler. Friends and family are always welcome to visit, even to share meals in the dining rooms. The team's approach centers on restoring confidence, making sure residents have a high quality of life, and always treating everyone with warmth and fairness. People can pick from different senior living options here, including assisted living, memory care, nursing support, and independent living, and there's flexibility for finding what kind of care meets someone's needs best. The Oaks at Garfield provides a safe, calm, and naturally friendly place to live for older adults who want to stay active and social while having the support they need when they need it, and there's always a chance to schedule a visit to see what life feels like under those big oak trees.
