    Helpful owner, friendly staff, clean

I moved my mom here and I'm very pleased. The owner is helpful, accommodating and personable, staff are friendly, and the facility is clean with a great appearance. Food is very good, transportation (wheelchair-accessible van) for doctor appointments is reliable, she's well taken care of and stayed with friends - a positive move; I would recommend and the price seemed fair.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Feedback on Jennae Crest conveys a generally positive baseline for environment and value while highlighting a few operational inconsistencies families should consider. The facility is described as clean and well-maintained, with a tidy appearance and accessible features. Pricing is viewed as fair by reviewers and management is characterized as helpful and personable. Care quality and staff Several accounts indicate residents receive attentive day-to-day assistance and that staff can be friendly and supportive. At the same time, reviewers describe variability in how consistently staff engage with residents and with families; this manifests as uneven professionalism and mixed experiences in family interactions. A recurring theme is communication difficulty tied to language accents, which can impede clear exchanges about care or logistics. Dining Dining impressions are mixed. Some reviewers praised meal preparation and presentation, describing the food positively, while others noted residents who did not like the offered menu. The pattern suggests overall competent food service but variable resident-level meal acceptability; families should clarify menu options and substitutions during a tour. Activities and programming A common suggestion is a desire for more frequent or varied daily activities. Current programming appears limited relative to some family expectations, and prospective residents who prioritize an active, eventful schedule should ask for a sample activity calendar and participation rates. Facilities and transport The facility’s cleanliness and overall appearance were consistently praised. Practical supports such as a wheelchair-accessible van and arranged transportation for medical appointments were specifically noted as strengths that aid mobility and access to care outside the community. Management and notable patterns Management involvement is a clear asset: owners are described as accommodating and personable, and they appear responsive to families’ needs. Notable patterns to weigh are inconsistent staff engagement and language-related communication barriers, along with varied meal satisfaction and limited activity offerings. Prospective residents and families would benefit from asking about staffing models, language support or interpreter options, daily activity schedules, and menu flexibility when evaluating whether Jennae Crest is a good match.

    About Jennae Crest

Jennae Crest is a small, licensed residential care home in Cerritos, California, offering care for up to six people in a quiet setting that feels more like a family home than a big facility, and you'll find both private and semi-private rooms with wheelchair-accessible showers too, so everyone's got a safe space no matter their needs. Staff are around all day and all night, including trained nurses and care workers who help with bathing, dressing, medicine, and any daily tasks a resident might need, and they handle housekeeping and laundry as part of the regular service, making things a bit easier. The meals here are planned to be healthy and enjoyable, and every day, residents get three freshly prepared meals, which can be pretty comforting, especially when you're not cooking anymore.

Jennae Crest offers a variety of care types, from help with daily living to memory care programs for dementia, and if you need high-acuity care like diabetic support or help with incontinence, that's part of what they do here, plus they provide non-ambulatory care for those who have trouble getting around. For folks whose caregivers need a break, there's respite care, so your loved one is safe and looked after for a short time while you rest, and if needed, hospice care is available too.

There's a well-stocked library for anyone who likes to sit with a book, and an indoor activity center where people gather for special events, birthday celebrations, or even just to play cards, plus a landscaped backyard with a pleasant gazebo when the weather's nice. Complimentary rides to medical appointments help with getting out to see doctors, and the community keeps up a regular schedule of social, educational, and fun activities to help everyone stay involved and mentally sharp.

The atmosphere at Jennae Crest is pretty calm and friendly, with staff making sure to respect each resident's independence while lending a hand when needed, and there's a focus on treating everyone with dignity and helping people feel at home. Safety features, personalized care plans, 24-hour assistance, and a small number of residents give this place a more personal feel, without the hustle and bustle of a larger facility. Medicare's not accepted unless the home's certified, but the monthly fee covers most services, including meals, cleaning, and laundry. Jennae Crest can't guarantee constant uptime for their website or app since they've had 403 ERROR issues and may have trouble with their CloudFront configuration, so families might sometimes find it hard to access their site online, but the care community itself plays a steady role in supporting seniors and giving peace of mind to families.
