    Caring staff, clean comfortable facility

I placed my mother here and I'm very glad I did. The staff are caring, professional and treat residents like family - responsive 24/7 with an involved owner who understands medical needs and even picks up prescriptions. The facility is clean, comfortable and conveniently located; daily group activities and crafts keep residents engaged and help motor/cognitive skills. Meals are mostly home-cooked and fresh (though not perfect), it isn't fully set up for electric wheelchairs, but for the price we felt it was worth it and I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive: reviewers consistently praise the staff, the quality of care, and the home-like environment at Wholesome Elderly On Kifisia. Multiple family members describe caregivers as kind, organized, and attentive; several emphasize that staff feel like family and that residents appear content and happy. The facility provides 24-hour care and many reviewers specifically highlight quick responses to requests and a management team that is responsive and involved. The owner’s medical experience and direct involvement in care is mentioned repeatedly as a confidence-building factor.

Care quality and staffing are the most commonly cited strengths. Reviewers report caring, professional caregivers who provide daily help and close supervision. The presence of round-the-clock care and medication support (including prescription pickup by staff) is noted as a significant advantage. Several people said the staff went beyond basic duties — installing satellite TV and private phone lines on request, helping with crafts and activities, and addressing individual needs quickly — and many explicitly recommend the facility as “the best home” for their relative.

Activities and therapeutic engagement are another theme. The home offers regular group and daily activities such as painting, crafts, and other programs aimed at maintaining motor skills and cognitive health. Reviewers credit these activities with keeping residents engaged and contributing positively to their well-being. However, a recurring limitation is that some activities are not accessible to all residents; accessibility concerns are tied to mobility limitations and the facility’s physical setup.

Dining receives generally favorable comments — several reviewers describe home-cooked, healthy meals with fresh fruit and call the food excellent — but there is at least one contradictory report citing poor food quality. This creates a mixed picture: while many families appreciate the home-style meals, a prospective resident should confirm current dining standards and menu options, particularly if special diets or higher culinary expectations are important.

Facility, amenities, and location are described positively overall. Reviewers mention clean and comfortable rooms, a neat house-like atmosphere, and convenient proximity to shops and doctors. The facility appears willing to accommodate specific resident needs (e.g., installing TV/phone lines) and is seen as safe and well-maintained. Parking is noted as only ‘okay,’ so visitors who drive should set expectations accordingly. The most notable facility-level downside reported is limited accessibility: the home is not set up for electric wheelchairs, and this has made it unsuitable for at least one prospective resident. Mobility needs and equipment compatibility should be confirmed before placement.

Cost and value: several reviewers acknowledge that the facility is pricier than alternatives but describe it as good value given the level of personalized care, owner involvement, and engagement activities. That said, price sensitivity will vary and some families may consider the higher fee a drawback.

In summary, Wholesome Elderly On Kifisia is consistently recommended by multiple reviewers for its compassionate, professional staff; active, therapeutic programming; medication support; and owner-led oversight. The home projects a family-like, organized environment with clean rooms and convenient location. Key considerations before choosing this facility are mobility and accessibility needs (electric wheelchairs are reportedly not accommodated), potential variability in meal quality, and cost. Prospective families should verify accessibility features, tour rooms and common areas, ask about current dining menus, and confirm pricing and what is included to ensure the home matches their loved one’s specific needs.
