    Facility lacking, staff exceeded expectations

I had mixed experience: the facility itself was not well kept and is in an unfavorable neighborhood, and my first appointment was canceled. Still, their knowledgeable, caring team was amazing - they handled paperwork, stayed available for questions, found the perfect RCFE for my mother, and she was very well taken care of; that brought relief to our family and built a trusted, ongoing relationship.

    About Senior Care Authority

Senior Care Authority focuses on matching seniors and their families with the right care options, and they do a careful job walking people through assisted living, memory care, or home care choices so nobody feels rushed or confused, which is important since these are big decisions and lots of folks feel lost when starting out. They're known for using a "Local Senior Care Advisor" system and have advisors like Amy Gilbert, Amy Kain, Belinda Battistelli-Rancho Cucamonga, Bonnie Summer-Calabasas, Carla Muller, and several others who know their local areas well and can answer questions about specific facilities, help you weigh options, and know about things like medication management, personal care, and activities of daily living because they've worked with places that offer assisted living, board and care, independent living, and 24-hour memory care for people with Alzheimer's and dementia. Seniors can get individualized guidance on picking between options, and families can talk with these advisors for free personalized consultations either onsite with a tour or virtually if it's easier, which helps a lot if you live far away from your loved one or need answers fast.

Senior Care Authority isn't owned by a large national company but runs like a network of local franchises so each office really knows its own area and still follows a consistent process, using a structured method for finding senior living matches based on independence, quality of life, and each family's needs. The advisors-people like Kathleen Leonard, Rex Little, Holly Lee Barrett-Carlsbad, Tanya Escobedo-are trained to answer questions about memory care, help with planning for long-term care, and they also give information about in-home care support if staying at home's the goal. They help coordinate care, coach families through hard times, and will even walk you through the latest rules and protocols about things like virus safety and visitation, which became extra tricky during the pandemic, so you don't have to figure it out on your own.

There's a strong focus on ongoing support for the families, both before and after someone moves, so placements aren't made and forgotten but checked in on to make sure the fit stays right as care needs change. Some seniors end up needing more help-like for rehab or wound care or memory support-and Senior Care Authority works with a range of locations where medical and daily care can adjust over time, so people can age in place whenever possible. Independent living services are available too with social programs, meals, and options for active seniors who still want maintenance-free living but may someday need more support. They also offer respite care for short stays if a family caregiver needs a break.

They put effort into educating families with seminars and clear resources, and because of their network, they know up-to-date information about everything from family visits to Alzheimer's programs. They work hard to keep the process personal and compassionate without being pushy, lending a hand wherever someone is in their senior care journey.
