About The Vineyard California Armenian Home

The Vineyard California Armenian Home is a nonprofit senior living community in Fresno with deep roots in serving Armenian elders and the wider Central Valley area, and it's been around since 1950, growing into a 40-acre campus that covers all stages of senior care. The community brings together independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care, along with rehabilitation for those who need it, and people live in private villas, apartments, or single and shared rooms, depending on their needs. The staff-including a Skilled Nursing Administrator and Senior HR Director-work under a Board of Directors and support each resident with help for daily living, therapy, health programs, wound care, medication, and personal care like bathing, dressing, and grooming. Folks can join in all sorts of activities, like arts and crafts, fitness programs, education, and social events, and there's plenty of space on the park-like grounds to just sit outside or walk in a safe setting with community gardens and places to gather.

There's a special Home Guild made up of Armenian women who raise funds by making and selling kufta and hosting lunches, and then the Ani Guild supports everyone with events such as festivals, bingo, craft nights, and decorations for the holidays, giving the place a lively feel all through the year. The community keeps building, too, now raising money for a new Center for Cognitive Excellence for world-class dementia and Alzheimer's programs, plus using Music & Memory© therapy in the memory care unit. Meals are served in dining rooms, and there are laundry, housekeeping, maintenance, salon, barbershop, and even WiFi and cable services to keep life running smoothly, and people can use transportation if needed.

Safety stays a top priority, with handicap and sprinkler systems, and there are options for long-term care insurance, move-in planning, and personal assessments, which is important for families to know. The Vineyard California Armenian Home hires a diverse team, values inclusion and trust, and earned a Great Place to Work (GPTW) certification, which shows they work hard for both residents and staff. The place hosts community forums, caregiver support, and connects with the FCVBER Foundation, which brings scholarships and internships. Residents can join a membership system and get access to a member directory, stay active with sports, group dining, and lots of activities, and enjoy time with family and friends on campus. It's a clean place with kind staff and friendly residents, and after more than 65 years, the focus remains on compassionate care and giving seniors real choices in how they want to live. They offer tours for those who want to come look, and there's always someone available to answer questions about the options and facilities. The main website is lifeatthevineyards.org, and the community is known for its relaxed environment and care for both the Armenian community and anyone looking for quality senior living in Fresno.
