    Friendly staff; recommend despite issues

I had a positive experience - the staff were friendly, caring and responsive, communication was good, my mom stayed active with lots of activities, and the main building and grounds felt clean and home-like. Move-in was easy, the community offers multiple care levels and independent cottages in a convenient location, and overall we're pleased. Be aware there can be staffing shortages, occasional inconsistent food/service and maintenance/pricing or medication-management concerns, so tour carefully, but I would recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews for Foremost Senior Campus is predominantly positive, with a clear emphasis on compassionate, friendly staff and a home-like environment. Many families and residents repeatedly highlight the caring nature of the employees, prompt responses to requests, and good communication with families. Multiple reviewers describe the campus as clean, quiet, and safe, with well-kept common areas and grounds (roses, shade trees, wedding arbors) that contribute to a welcoming, non-institutional atmosphere. Several accounts note an easy move-in process, personalized attention in a small-campus setting, and residents who appear engaged and happy in activities.

Care quality and staff performance emerge as the strongest themes. Numerous reviews praise staff for being attentive, supportive, and quick to respond; families report good communication and that staff ‘‘do everything they can.’’ There are repeated mentions of staff who enjoy their work, which reviewers feel translates to better resident morale and individualized care. The facility is also commended for offering multiple layers of dementia care and for providing a sense of independence for residents who desire it (independent cottages and the option to prepare meals).

Facilities and grounds receive mixed but generally favorable comments. Many reviewers appreciate wide halls, inviting common areas, single-level sections, and well-maintained landscaping. Several highlight that the campus feels like a ‘‘lovely home’’ rather than an institution. However, maintenance consistency is a notable pattern: while main units and common areas are often described as clean and well cared for, several reviewers point out that outside units and some independent living spaces need touch-ups or more upkeep. A few specific practical complaints include long walks from certain units to the dining room and some crowded studio layouts versus others noting spacious, bright apartments.

Activities and engagement are consistently praised. The list of organized activities—Bingo, Poker, fitness classes, Bible studies, games, puzzles, and themed events like Luau—appears across reviews as a key contributor to resident engagement. Reviewers frequently observed that residents participate and appear active and content, with grandchildren or family members noting increased involvement and enjoyment. Daily room cleaning and planned activities are seen as strengths that support resident well-being.

Dining and operational issues show variability. Several families appreciate the food and daily meal provision, while others report inconsistent food quality. Operational concerns beyond dining include variable pricing or unclear fee structures (some reviewers feel pricing is not fixed or raises value concerns), reports of staffing shortages that could affect services, and at least one serious critique alleging run-down, unsanitary conditions and a money-focused administration. That serious negative report stands in contrast to the majority of positive experiences but is significant and should be noted as an outlier that may reflect specific units, timing, or individual expectations.

Medication management and administrative communications are mixed areas. While some reviewers explicitly state the staff and nurses are careful with medications, others experienced inadequate medication explanations and expressed concern about medication management oversight from a head nurse. In addition, a few prospective residents/families encountered perfunctory or rushed tours and had trouble getting prompt follow-up via phone. These procedural inconsistencies—ranging from tour quality and front-office responsiveness to inventory/housekeeping lapses (missing clothing items reported by more than one reviewer)—suggest areas for administrative improvement.

In conclusion, Foremost Senior Campus appears to provide warm, person-centered care for many residents, with strong staff engagement, a home-like environment, active programming, and generally well-maintained grounds and common areas. Nevertheless, prospective families should watch for variability: confirm specifics about unit condition, private-room availability, dining preferences, medication management protocols, and current staffing levels. It would also be wise to ask about pricing structure and any recent ownership or management changes (some reviewers mention new ownership and Medicare acceptance) and to request a thorough, unhurried tour focused on the particular unit their loved one would occupy to assess upkeep and atmosphere firsthand. Overall recommendation trends lean positive, but the noted inconsistencies and a small number of serious negative reports warrant careful, individualized evaluation before making a placement decision.

    About Foremost Senior Campus

Foremost Senior Campus sits on a big, green 20-acre property with views of the San Bernardino Mountains, and the place has loads of different areas and services for folks over 55, including assisted living, independent living, memory care, and even adult day programs. The main building holds most services, while a separate secure wing is set up special for memory care, with 24-hour awake staff and a nurse on call day and night. People there get their own care plans, and staff help with daily needs like bathing, dressing, medication, and even standby assisted transfers with lifts if needed, and the place can handle folks who need a bit more help or show behaviors related to dementia, including wandering, with extra safety features like bracelets that alarm if a resident tries an exit.

Apartments include private and semi-private rooms, standalone cottages, and studios, with accessible showers, kitchens or kitchenettes, cable TV and WiFi, and staff handle housekeeping, laundry, and room service. The whole campus is set up for comfort and safety with things like wheelchair accessible paths, emergency call systems, and secured entry. Residents and guests can park on-site, and people can even drive around the property in golf carts, which is handy since there's a golf course right behind the campus.

Foremost offers a lot more than care, with activities every day, from bingo, music programs, arts and crafts, to stretching classes and gardening groups. There're paths for walking, outdoor patios, gardens, a putting green, tennis courts, and a gym, and for quieter times, residents can sit in the library, watch TV in common rooms, or take part in religious services or the resident musical group. The campus also has a grand terrace for events, a banquet area with a big dance floor, a mile high café, and a bistro-style dining space, with meals tailored to special diets like low/no salt or sugar, guest meals, and a private dining room too.

Health services cover a lot, too, like physical and speech therapy, on-site barber and beauty services, medication management, insulin shots, labs and pharmacy delivery, podiatry, dental, VA disability help, plus hospice and home health care when needed. People who need to get out for errands, medical visits, or group trips can use accessible transportation, and the Spanish-speaking staff help bridge any language gaps.

Pets are allowed in some apartments, and folks can live here as their needs shift, since care ranges from light to medium and heavier needs, so residents can age in place without having to move elsewhere. The community includes programs for people with Alzheimer's and dementia that keep everyone as active and connected as possible, supervised by a staff that stays alert 24 hours a day. The area around the campus has dining options like Mile High Cafe less than a mile away, pharmacies, medical labs, and other services within walking distance. Average monthly rates, for example, for a memory care semi-private room run about $3,500, with all-inclusive pricing covering most services. The whole place is licensed by the State of California under #366425834 and is known by folks who live there as clean and welcoming, with a modern and supportive feeling that helps people keep up their independence and dignity.
