    About Dad's Place

Dad's Place is a small, cozy senior living community in a quiet area near a big white house, but not in the big house itself-instead, it sits right in that backyard area, and with room for only up to six residents, things stay laid-back and comfortable like a real home, not crowded or busy. Residents can pick a private or semi-private room, and all rooms come fully furnished, with emergency alert systems and telephones for easy help if someone needs it. Meals get served in the dining room, and the kitchen handles special diets, allergy needs, or diabetes-friendly meals. Helpers come by to assist with bathing, dressing, moving around, and any medication, with supervision and support going on 24 hours a day. There's a board and care home setup, so the space feels like a regular home-everyone eats together, and caregivers help with daily chores, housekeeping, laundry, and group activities like movie nights, games, and walks through little gardens or on safe paths. Pets are welcome, which often makes people more comfortable and helps keep things lively and friendly. Staff manage medical care, medication, and health needs, and will talk to outside doctors or care teams when needed. If someone uses a wheelchair or has trouble moving, non-ambulatory support is available. There's transportation to nearby shops or appointments, so residents can get out and see the area if they want. The community sponsors activities that help people stay social, active, and entertained, with scheduled daily events, both mentally and physically engaging. Respite care is an option for those who just need a short stay for a little extra help, and move-in support helps new residents get settled. Dad's Place aims for a comfortable life where seniors can keep some independence but still have as much help as they want, all in a familiar-feeling house with friendly folks around and simple comforts close by.
