    Family-centered care with occasional management

I highly recommend Taj Residential Care II. The staff treated my mom like family - caring, experienced, and attentive - with delicious meals, weekly music and activities, and nurse-led personalized TLC (which we missed after one nurse left). The small, clean home has a lovely patio, convenient location near medical facilities and a park, and the move-in/communication were smooth. My only gripe: the business manager/management was difficult at times and occasionally conflicted with medical recommendations. Overall excellent, family-centered care and great value.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive: reviewers repeatedly emphasize compassionate, experienced staff and a family-style environment that makes residents feel at home. Many accounts highlight long-tenured caregivers, nurse-managed personalized care, and staff who go "above and beyond," including hand-feeding, exceptional grooming, and extra TLC during transitions. Multiple reviewers explicitly say they would recommend the home and describe the experience as a second home for their loved one. The small, all-female community and intimate four-bedroom house layout consistently contribute to the homelike, warm atmosphere noted by families.

Care quality and staff: Care quality is the most frequently praised aspect. Reviews describe caregivers as kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Several comments single out specific nurses and administrators for exceptional work, noting thorough pre-move visits, smooth transitions, and ongoing, clear communication from directors. At least one review mentions a decline in the special extra attention after a particular nurse left, indicating that while overall care is high, there can be variability tied to individual staff members. That said, many reviewers cite nurse-led management and personalized care plans as strengths, and the facility is repeatedly described as providing top-notch and even best-in-class care.

Activities and social life: Activities are present and appreciated, with residents enjoying bingo, arts and crafts, and weekly music sessions. Administrator-led activities and occasional visits from an activities director were also mentioned. However, several reviewers note the limited presence of an activities director (visiting only a couple of days a week), which suggests programming may be more modest than larger communities offer. Still, residents who enjoy quieter, home-style activities seem well-served — music sessions and small-group crafts are cited as highlights.

Facilities and dining: The physical home is described as clean, neat, and peaceful, with attractive outdoor spaces such as a patio and backyard. Rooms are characterized as nicely sized for a small community, though some reviews point out bathrooms are located across the hall rather than en suite. The facility is older and small, which contributes to the intimate atmosphere but may not meet expectations for those seeking a more modern building. Dining receives positive comments — meals are described as delicious and residents are reported to eat well. Practical conveniences like no finger-pricking for sugar testing were specifically noted by at least one reviewer as a positive practice.

Management and communication: Communication receives mixed marks. Many reviewers praise excellent ongoing communication, pre-move planning, and director-level involvement that eased transitions. Conversely, a recurring theme among the criticisms concerns management and administration: a few families reported difficulty communicating with management, and at least one account alleges that a business manager interfered with care. Another reviewer stated management sometimes acted contrary to a doctor’s recommendations. These issues appear in a minority of reviews but are significant because they relate directly to medical decision-making and family trust.

Other patterns and practical considerations: The home’s location is a plus for many — convenient to hospitals and a nearby park — but one review notes it was far for that family, so geography will matter on a case-by-case basis. Availability can also be an issue: one review reported a desired room was not available because a deposit had already been placed. Value is frequently mentioned: reviewers often describe the facility as a lower-cost alternative that still delivers high-quality, personalized care. The small size and all-female resident population are repeatedly called out; this is a benefit for families seeking a small, gender-specific setting but may be a limitation for others.

In summary, Diamond Creek Senior Care is consistently described as a clean, well-run, small residential home with caring, experienced staff and a family-like atmosphere. Strengths are individualized nursing care, strong caregiver relationships, pleasant communal activities, good dining, and a calming domestic environment with attractive outdoor areas. The most important concerns to weigh are occasional management communication problems, the potential for variability when key staff leave, limited dedicated activities staffing, room/bathroom layout, and small size/older facility attributes. For families prioritizing warm, personalized nursing care in an intimate setting, reviewers indicate Diamond Creek is a strong option; families who require robust activities programming, a very modern facility, or flawless administrative responsiveness should probe those areas during a tour and ask specific questions about management practices, staffing stability, and room availability.
