    Kind staff, excellent care, small

I'm grateful for the wonderful, kind and dedicated staff - Maria is an angel - who treated my mom with dignity, restored her mobility, and created a clean, family-like, cat-friendly home. The care quality is excellent and residents clearly receive attentive, respectful support. Downsides: it felt too small for my mom, parking is tight, it's not suitable for dogs, and our tour left a poor first impression.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in these reviews is strongly positive, with the overwhelming majority of comments praising the staff, level of personal care, and the facility's clean, family-like environment. Multiple reviewers emphasize that caregivers are caring, respectful, and dedicated — treating residents with dignity and offering emotional as well as medical support. One staff member (Maria) is specifically named and described as "an angel," which underscores a pattern of highly individualized praise and strong personal connections between staff, residents, and families. Several reviews note concrete positive outcomes, such as restored mobility and long-term residency, suggesting effective care and continuity for residents who remain there.

Staff and care quality emerge as the facility's chief strengths. Reviewers repeatedly use words like "supportive," "caring," "dedicated," and "family-like," and many express gratitude and affection toward the team. Comments that residents "looked great" and are "receiving great care" point to consistent day-to-day attention to grooming and well-being. The small size of the facility appears to contribute to the close-knit atmosphere — allowing staff to form closer relationships with residents — which many families find comforting and valuable.

Facility-related feedback is mostly favorable: multiple mentions of a clean environment and a well-kept facility reinforce the perception of attentive, hands-on care. At the same time, the small physical footprint is a noted downside for some families; at least one reviewer said it was "too small for mom." Parking is called out as a potential inconvenience, which could matter for frequent visitors or during peak times. Another recurring operational detail is the pet policy: the facility is described as cat-friendly, but there are explicit statements that it is "not suitable for dogs," and one visitor left the tour after a bad first impression related to pet policies and/or general fit.

There are few direct comments about dining, activities, or management transparency in these summaries; those topics are either absent or not prominent in the provided reviews. The pattern of praise for staff suggests strong frontline caregiving, but prospective families should ask about meal quality, social programming, therapy services, and administrative practices during a visit. Given the mixed signals about fit (very positive care environment but limited space and parking, and restrictive dog policy), recommended next steps for families are: schedule a tour at different times of day to assess bustle and parking, ask specific questions about pet accommodations (cats versus dogs), meet the primary caregiving team and any staff members who were named, inquire about staffing ratios and therapy/rehab services (especially if mobility restoration is a priority), and confirm how the facility accommodates family involvement.

In summary, Eastern Manor LLC appears to deliver empathetic, high-quality, personalized care in a small, clean setting with a strong focus on dignity and family-style relationships. Those strengths are the dominant theme across reviews. Potential concerns are mostly logistical (space and parking) and policy-based (dog restrictions), and there is at least one report of a poor initial fit on tour. Families prioritizing close, compassionate staff relationships and a tidy, small community are likely to view this facility favorably; families needing more space, easier parking, or who wish to keep a dog should investigate those issues further before deciding.

    About Eastern Manor LLC

Eastern Manor LLC sits at 2629 Eastern Ave in Sacramento, California, where the building is set up to support folks who need memory care, dementia, or Alzheimer's support in a secured and purpose-built setting, and the place only has room for 13 residents so it feels more like a real home than a big facility and the staff is around and awake 24 hours a day to help with personal care, medication, meals, housekeeping, and any emergencies, which is important for families looking for a smaller place with steady attention. Residents can get help with things like bathing, dressing, using the bathroom, diabetic care with insulin shots and blood sugar checks, help for bowel and bladder issues, and even things like transfers that need more than one person or a special lift, which is quite a thing because not every place is set up for people with mobility challenges or big medical needs. The staff speaks English and can care for people with behavioral problems that come with dementia, including folks who tend to wander, since they use bracelets and alarms along with a securely locked memory care area to keep everyone safe.

Meals here are made with special diets in mind, so people with diabetes allergies or other food needs get what they should, and meals can be enjoyed any time of the day, not just at a set hour, with a dining room set up so everyone can eat together if they like. Staff keeps rooms and shared areas clean with regular housekeeping and laundry, and there are movie nights, scheduled activities every day, and other community events to keep residents social and active, plus nice outdoor areas with walking paths and a garden for those who want to get out in the sunlight or just need a bit of quiet.

Eastern Manor offers transportation for medical appointments or outings, is near public transit, and has both parking for residents and visitors and wheelchair access everywhere, including showers, so no one's left out because of mobility concerns. The community also allows pets and can help residents who may be dealing with hard behaviors or need more supervision. Eastern Manor can offer hospice care, respite stays, and plenty of extra support, and the board and care home model means you're not just in a big institution but a smaller place where care is more personal and staff really know who they're helping, with an official California license and all the typical protections that brings.

Reviewers have given Eastern Manor high marks, averaging 4.6 to 5.0 stars on major sites, so while nothing's perfect, a lot of families have found peace of mind here. The place links up with other senior care homes like Mia's Care Home and Rosemont Senior Care Home and connects families to advice and caregiver support beyond just their own walls, including continuing care, adult day care, independent living, senior apartments, nursing home, and home care services through a network in Sacramento and nearby areas, supporting residents as their needs change. The care team makes sure no one slips through the cracks when care needs increase, offering help for families every step of the way.
